The best ascorbic acid I have used, dissolves in cold water, fine powder.
This is an extremely fine powder that dissolves in cold water too, which is not common for some of these other ascorbic acids that are not as finely grated.It is food grade and could easily be used in cosmetics and lotions since it dissolves so easily. I came back to Amazon to get a bigger bag but I ended up going to the manufacturer's website instead and buying 10 times the size which is perfect.I use it for adding to guacamole to make sure it doesn't turn brown. That way the guacamole lasts for a week if not more! I also packaged my guacamole in vacuum pumped containers that I purchased on Amazon that are made of glass. It's perfect for baking, canning fruits, and preventing anything fresh from turning brown or spoiling unnecessarily fast.I definitely recommend this one. I ordered some citric acid from another company and it was very grainy and tart. If you're looking to cook and wants a prime product, I would definitely recommend this ascorbic acid from this company. It's a very fine powder and easy to use and dissolve.

Arrived quickly, worked perfectly!
I am a Chef and was looking for a product to keep potatoes a nice white color during holding. Ordered Ascorbic Acid to use in a shredded potato dish that gets baked inside a dough. Had trouble in the past with the potatoes turning brown. Adding a small amount of this product kept the potatoes perfectly white and was able to hold the shredded potatoes for a long time keeping them bright white until ready to mix the filling. Finished 80 portions were beautiful. Will DEFINITELY order this product in the future. Have already recommended to some of my Chef friends.

Perfect for canning potatoes
I've not had a chance to use this product, but it's ascorbic acid. AKA vitamin C. It is going to be perfect for what I'm doing. I will use it to soak my potatoes in for canning. This will easily dissolve in water and prevent my peeled or sliced potatoes from turning color during the canning process. I am not a real experienced canner, but I think this can be used to preserve the color of other things during the processing.

A little pricey
I just got it today the package came nicely. But I looked closely, it was expensive. I will make some baking, so let see it how will turn out. I will post again after trying this product.

Great Product
I ordered this item when my supply from a different vendor was unavailable. I’m happy to say it works as well as the brand I purchased previously. I use it to give an extra lift to my sourdough bread, keeping it from being too heavy or gummy. The amount used is very little, but it really seems to help make a consistent, excellent loaf of sourdough.

Purchased to add to homemade bread
I have been baking all our bread products for a couple of years now. I heard that abscorbic acid helps with the rise in bread so I though I would give it a try. Still playing around with how much to add. Any tips on how much per amount of flour would be appreciated!

After using it a while and then not anymore, I came to the conclusion that it doesn't really help.
