Hanks Utility Belt - 1.5" Heavy-Duty Leather Belt - USA Made, 100-Year Warranty

The belt is of good looking quality and very thick, BUT !! I ordered a 42 since I'm a size 40 for the added size to make it a comfortable fit. Thank god I did, the size 42 barely went into the belt buckle. For this belt to work properly with the buckle, I would need a 46 to 48.If you order this belt you had better go up around 6 to 8 sizes.Above is my first reaction to this belt. This company outstanding, Even after this review they were kind, courteous and very efficient in replacing the belt with a size that works well for me. I did have to go up to a 48 for it to fit my 42 waist, but with the number of holes provided and the belt buckle i am going to use, it should do well regardless if i "grow" or "Shrink" lol.This is a sturdy well built belt with removable screws on buckle flap if you want to change buckles.Definitely buy again when I need another,Just remember to order up, your size will meet but not buckle, add 2" per belt size for good fit over what you normally wear. For good overlap i went up 6 sizes.

This belt is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It matches the description perfectly. It is heavy-duty and feels great. I am definitely going to recommend it to all my friends. The holes along the whole length and the roller on the buckle make the adjustments quick and easyI ordered based on the size information and did not take the advice about getting four sizes larger than the waist size of my slacks (42 for 38 waist). The size 40 I ordered was really too short to have enough extra. I called Hanks and they immediately sent me a correct size replacement along with a prepaid mailer to return the smaller belt. It came by first class mail and I had it on Monday after I called on Friday. I could not wish for better customer service or friendlier people on the phone.

I didn't expect to write a review for a belt. It holds my pants up. The end. BUT, this belt is TOTALLY worthy, and it was love at first sight. Here is why:1.) Thick leather that will last. I want to pass down my leather belt to my kids. Don't ask me why for this particular item, but I want them to be like, "Man! dad was FAT!" This belt has a great chance of surviving way past my lifetime through all my crazy adventures (jumping through explosions... on T.V., fighting battles... also on T.V...). With all this action-packed exercise, I need a super strong, thick belt. Something that could hold my weight if I were to trip off the edge of a building and "Indiana Jones - whip my belt to a tree or something." Yeah, yeah I know... "tree on top of a building? Pffft." I obviously don't know my adventures... or do I? Ever been to a rooftop on some of these NYC buildings? Trees man. Trees! Along with the 100 year warranty (btw, not sure if this really means anything - has anyone ever taken advantage of this?), its almost like a guarantee that my kids will be burdened with my fashion sense. Perfect.2.) Holes all the way around the belt to the buckle guarantees that my grandchildren can wear my belt when they are in the womb. I want to make sure that there are NO excuses for NOT wearing my belt AFTER I die... that double negative has me all confused... anyway you get the picture. Don't ask me how it would ever matter to me, or how I would even make sure that my heirs are wearing my belt from beyond the grave. I just want to make sure that they can never say "it doesn't fit." This belt has fitting holes all the way around. Whether your waist size is a (whatever size it is that you buy)… or a "2" - if there is such a thing. This belt will probably fit you. I didn't have the same issues as some previous reviewers about their sizing issues. I think that as of April 13th, 2020 - they have fixed this issue. My belt fits as expected.3.) Can be used as a gear "strap down" since it is nearly infinitely adjustable, you can strap down gear! So its not just a plain old simple belt. This thing is like a multitool of belts. You can tie down gear to your ruck, your truck, sling it over your chest... you can even use it as a restraint of some sort if you're feeling frisky with your honey! Is it ok to write that?Anyway, I haven't given it any hard use yet, but if there is any interest in this product, give me a slight nod by clicking that "helpful" icon. I wanted the Hanks Blackout but with the utility holes all the way down and with a powder coated bucked instead of an enamel painted buckle - so I created my perfect belt using this belt and a Hanks Black powder coated roller buckle, Hanks black Chicago screws and Hanks utility belt. I don’t know why Hanks doesn’t sell the screws on Amazon but does on their website. The screws are so much better than the original silver screws because they are slotted on both sides for a screwdriver. The silver required using a rubber mat and a lot of downward pressure to grab the smooth top silver screw. Took me 15 minutes to get the silver screws off and 1 minute to get the black on. Another reviewer noted the noise caused when removing the belt, I found the powder coated black is very loud but quieter than the silver a besides they are roller buckles - it’s to be expected. If you need it quieter because you are coming home after the mrs. went to bed, put your thumb on the roller and it will be substantially quieter.

Great belt. Sizing was way off. My father is a 38 waist & l wears a 42 belt in most brands. The belt fit me, waist size 32. Good thing I needed a belt too. Other than that, great belt, very sturdy.Update: I ordered another belt for my father due to the sizing issue. Unfortunately, I received the wrong belt. I ordered a 50 black utility & received a brown 38. The packaging was correct, it was the wrong belt inside. Getting very frustrated. Missed the chance to have a quality belt for my Dad on Christmas. I will have to mail it to him at a later date if I decide to make a third attempt.
