Living Color

Saw this book at an elementary school I was visiting and had to get it for my niece! She loves it!

How many animals can you name that are red? Blue? Green? Orange? Bet you discover new ones in this book!

My 5yr old daughter loves Steve Jenkin books. We have about 6 and have gotten every one the local library has. I love how often in his book he has several levels for learning. I think of these as science books for kids- that kids will love!

This book is full of information on habitats. If you need a quick book for your child to read, this is not it.But, it's an excellent choice if you are looking for a beautifully illustrated book to read over time.

Learn about your colors and animals all at once! It is very interesting, amazing facts, and cool facts about animal colors. My 20 month old loves this book.

This is a beautifully illustrated book with lots of great information about animals you may not be familiar with.

I purchased this book for my sons based on Mr. Jenkins' wonderful artwork and the high-contrast images on the cover -- also looking for a book that featured lesser-known animals (having had enough of the usual zoo creatures in other books), Living Color fit our needs admirably. However, for us the arrangement of animals by color seems monotonous and detracts from full enjoyment of the pictures; a different arrangement by genus or family (grouping all birds together on one spread and highlighting the differences in coloration for the birds' survival in specific habitats, all reptiles together, etc.) would be more exciting and effective. I feel like cutting apart the pages and rearranging the illustrations...v. interesting species info.

I need to order one for myself! My nephew was over joyed!.

Loved the rich colors and the unique animals

Tous les livres qu'il m'a été donné de lire de Steve Jenkins sont de qualité. Le style en papier découpé est très intéressant visuellement et les informations qui les accompagnent sont pertinentes et concises.En ce qui concerne ce livre en particulier, on sait plus au moins tous à quel point les couleurs ont un rôle de communication important chez tous les animaux (y compris les humains), pourtant ce livre m'a fait découvert des espèces qui utilisent les couleurs de manière tout à fait inédites et m'a même donné un background d'informations sur le mécanisme qui leur permettent de se créer leur pigmentation(dernier quart du livre).Pour les amateurs de biologie, de livres au design intéressant, ou tout simplement des animaux, les pages ultra-colorées de Living Color vont vous régaler.
