Charley Harper's a Partridge in a Pear Tree: An Old Christmas Carol Which Proves That It Is Better to Give Than to Receive

This book was written by Charley for his family. It has quick sketches of each Christmas Day’s gift (per the song) with parenthetical commentary by the receiver. “A partridge in a pear tree. (He always gets me something unusual.)” I got it for my two year old daughter because I didn’t realize that it had the additional commentary. She loves it but my husband and I do, too!! I was shocked by negative comments that said they were disappointed in the artwork. It is very authentic for this artist, like you’ve been allowed to peek at his drawing table. I love it!

The book is charming; it was a lovely Christmas gift to me and another for my niece.

Didn't really know what I was ordering. Not my type of book, so I won't order anything by this author again. The item itself arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
