I really like these. I already have a few and bought more, just because I wanted several more. The ones I have are fine, no tears, no fraying, still look great.They are stiff when new, as other commenters have noted, but the fabric by the same token is tough.

If you're looking for a handkerchief for work - construction, home projects, yard work, etc. as I do- these are what you're looking for. I purchased some Hav-a-Hanks a number of years ago and still have a few in good condition. The ones I just purchased are the same quality, so that's saying something. If you're concerned about "thickness", it's not an issue with these. If you hold these up to light, you will be able to see through them to some extent. What's important is that Hav-a-Hanks have a higher thread count (# of threads per inch) than other bandanas I've purchased - and returned. This means the fabric has a tighter weave and less likely to tear or wear out quickly.That said, they're not indestructible but you can expect these to hold up better than other brands that are more suited for use as a "fashion accessory".

These are heavy-duty bandanas and much thicker than others I've purchased. They should last through many washes. They are a little stiff, but I wear them on my head so I don't care about softness as much as someone using them as sweat bands or handkerchiefs. These are well-made and what I used to expect in a bandana. They cost more, but you get what you pay for. (A 12-pack by another brand I received yesterday were so sheer you could see through them. )

I knew when I ordered them that they would most likely be rather stiff... most any that I've bought have been. But with washing (I threw them in with other clothes several times before using), they are softening up. They are well made, edges are finished well and the design is strong on front and back.Will buy again.

Even after washing cotton is a nice quality. Good dyes used on these.

The material is what I expected. The size is perfect and the colors are great!

I would have expected more for something supposedly made in U.S.A., stitching sucks on most, and simple math by folding over corners show that they're not square... not even close.
