Star Wars, 2010 Starfighter Vehicle, Bespin Cloud Car

If, like me, you bought this to display it cuz you like Star Wars toys you'll have to take it out of the box. If that doesn't bother you than this a real nice toy.

Even though Hasbro has overdone it by adding the separation/pop-out canons features, the Twin-Pod Cloud Car remains an iconic sci-fi piece of design. The Vintage Collection (2010) re-edition adds some interesting details to the original release, even though the ship is smaller now. The market price is a bit high for what it actually is though. Coupled with the awesome new Cloud Car Pilots (with mustaches!), this vehicle is a nice addition to a maniac's collection.

My son loves this ship, it can be kept together or you can separate to make it two ships. It even comes with a little cardboard set of cloud city. Again, my only complaint would be that it should come with an action figure. I knew that it wouldn't from the description but that would be fun to get the action figure too.

I remember as a kid wanting the original version after Empire was released, so I bought this for my younger boys for Christmas this year. Many of their Star Wars Action figures won't fit in the pods and have the canopy close. This model has weapons (spring loaded "missles" like the Tie Fighter and X Wing) that doesn't fit with how we see these craft used in the movie. I am not confident the opening "hood" will withstand much play, and I am very dissatisfied with how easily the pods separate (especially when trying to close the outboard missles bays) Not sure how much fun the boys will have with this one...sad given my fond memories of the original.

A great vehicle with lots of detail and nice features. My only complaint is that the two halves separate to easily.
