Brilliant, don’t let the negative reviews put you off
What a great gadget, the ice cream is beautiful. Yes it takes a bit of prep, maybe 15 mins to make an easy custard. It’s not hard to plan ahead! Once you’ve done it once it is easy. A few hours later or the next day you add your final ingredients and then finish in the machine which takes 15-20 mins max. Yes it takes a few mins to get the ice cream off the paddle, yes it takes a few mins to scrape the ice cream out and maybe harden up in the freezer. But it’s all worth it, believe me, for amazing homemade ice cream without any additives. I’ve made blackcurrant, salted caramel and even frozen yoghurt. The family love it! If this all sounds like too much hard work then go and buy it from the supermarket and sit on your iPhone watching Netflix. Alternatively get a life and do something fun - make ice cream for your family!!

Easy to use
Easy to use as rated by other users. Just be careful if using from a recipe book to not try to make too much at once. Great result and everyone liked

My first sorbet came out a TREAT!
Lovely machine. My first sorbet of pineapple, mint, ginger and basil came out a real treat and was very quick (30 minutes). Do remember though, that you need to freeze the cooling element before use, which takes time/ planning and that this element is not small, so leave the right amount of space in your freezer for the element, and later, your delicious ice cream/ sorbet. The machine itself looks great and in my view is also easy to clean/ stylish. I would recommend it!

A substantial piece of kit.
Excellent price for such a good quality ice cream maker.

Very disappointed,
It is so noisy and so the noise can be heard through the kitchen, through the dining room and into the lounge. It is the noisiest bit of kit I have.So messy that, the paddle does not scrape the edges of the internal bucket so you have scraped this off with a spatula and mixed it in thereby making it too soft to serve immediatelyIt has no consistency of whippy ice cream at all, just cold cream. You have to freeze the bowl for hours first so you may as well just get a cheaper alternative. Don't waste your money, Totally unimpressed.

Nice, but time consuming
It makes nice ice cream, I also got Ben& Jerry's book on kindle and it goes well with it.Pros:- nice homemade ice cream, well blended and emulsified. Note: they will never be as soft scoop as the shop bought ice cream, but there is no lengthy chemical content obviously, just all natural ingredients.Cons:-takes space on the counter, quite heavy to move- bowl needs to be in the freezer for at least 24 hrs and you need some room in the bigger drawer at all the times, especially if you make ice cream more often- you can only really make one flavour at once and then defrost, wash and freeze bowl again (you get what I meant by having a room in the freezer at all the times). I have managed to actually make 2 different ice cream, ie light and dark, keep them cooled in the fridge ready and then make the light ones first, dish out and quickly put the dark ones in later, whilst the bowl is still frozen. However, they need to co-ordinate as the light mix would be still stuck to the frozen bowl so kind of vanilla first and chocolate afterwards is fine.It makes nice ice cream, but it is too expensive for what it is and not that practical.

Good ice cream and easy to use
I've just received my ice-cream maker and just made a couple of batches of ice-cream, so far I'm really pleased with this product. I had never made ice cream before, and found the instructions clear an easy. The resulting ice-cream is delicious and the texture very creamy. The only downside of this machine is that a smal portion of the preparation will freeze on the sides of the bowl, but I find it an acceptable loss.Contrary to any review I have seen about any freeze-ahead machine, I have easily managed to make 2 batches in one day, and I'm pretty sure I could make a third if I wanted to. I've just froze the bowl 24h for the 1st batch, then cleaned it quickly with water just warm enough to melt the remaining ice-cream, dried it with a towel and put it back in the freezer for another 5h before making the second batch. Worked like a charm!
