Project Management with SAP Project System (4th Edition) Hardcover – February 6, 2015

This is a SAP edition with all Essentials to develop into this PS module, very nice book with clear and good technical level explanations. My expectations were fully attended.

This book is a very good guide from a business user’s perspective. What makes is unique is the fact that project planners already familiar and used to working with other project management tools are often unsure or unaware of what SAP PS offers. This book has done a fine job in satisfactorily assuaging these concerns and questions. There are many helpful implementation tips to effectively implement SAP PS and how it integrates with other logistics and financial components of SAP. Also, some of the latest tools and technologies, such as, SAP Commercial Project Management and SAP HANA, are covered in sufficient details. A complete chapter on reporting and analytics ensure that business users are able to make informed business decisions.From a SAP consultant’s perspective, who wish to deep-dive on the configuration side of SAP PS, this book can do better in covering the configuration-focused topics in sufficient details, especially how the configuration changes or updates impact the business or transaction side of SAP PS. However, consultants who have worked in other components of SAP ECC should generally be able to make sense of necessary configuration options as long as they have good business process knowledge of SAP PS (and which this book do indeed ensure).
