Sex, Self and Society: The Social Context of Sexuality (with InfoTrac) (Wadsworth Sociology Reader)

I needed this book for a university course called Sociology of Sexuality. This book is amazing. It starts off with a bang and grabs your attention. Then it keeps your attention all the way through. I found myself reading ahead because it was so interesting. I have never done that before with any school textbook. I am so glad that I found this book. The collection of stories in it are incredible and really opened my eyes to so many different worlds out there that I had never even considered. I will gladly read it again just for fun because it is really an excellent book. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in human sexuality. Even if you are not a student and this is not required reading, it is still an excellent book full of fascinating information.

Case study book, really not needed. If you are taking Human Sexuality, this book is basically useless. It was a required read but Yarber and Sayad's "Diversity in Contemporary America" will work all by itself. Blew over $100 on this book, new, and used it for a paperweight. WAY too expensive and most teachers do not refer to it. If you need to quote it, use the internet.

I had to get this book for one of my classes. Some of the articles can bore you, but many are insightful. I wis that more of the articles were up to date, many are from the 80's.

I needed the book for a college course, but i kept the book after the course ended, because of the interesting stories about human sexuality.
