great and invaluable book
After 2 weeks in India, we had circled over 50% fo the book on birds we had seen. Easy to use and great pictures and info!!

Going to need this one
This will be a very helpful volume on our upcoming trip to India. Can't wait to see these birds in person, and I know we'll be most grateful to the author.

Different cover to what is shown, but absolutely brilliant book.
The pictures are bright and excellent quality. There's definitely sufficient info inside. Im super happy with this!The only thing is, the cover is different, but inside it reads that it is a 2019 reprint so I got more than I bargained for. As an ornithologist and guide moving to SL, I'm ecstatic with it! Sent in pristine shape too.

Did the job but could be better
Had all the birds I saw in S. India. Could be better if had simple map to show region the birds are found - as it is its a paragraph of text which isn't easy to find at a quick glance. Also there is no rhyme nor reason to the order of the birds or the check list - no alphabetical order. Also no male/female/juvenile shown - just one picture.
