Boat Hatch, 4" 6" 8" White Round Non Slip Inspection Hatch w/Detachable Cover for Marine Boat Yacht (8 Inch)

Feels like good quality, very sturdy. We'll see how it stands up to the elements, but I'm happy with it so far. Used it for a fuel tank connection inspection port.

Needed to add a ladder to the back of our ski boat and had to drill and access hole in the side of the motor well to get to the mounting area. This cover did the trick to make the area look professionally done, and gives access now to the fuel fill area and the ladder mounting area. Only drawback is you HAVE TO drill a 6.5" hole and the local hardware stores do not cary a 6.5" hole saw. But luckily Amazon does!!! And for only $14 more.

I bought this hatch to create an access hole at the front of my boat so I could wire other things (trolling motor, lights, etc) in place. I wanted something that would be durable, look professional, and seal up tight and support some weight. Originally I bought it to go under my seats but the other day I was cast netting on the front of my boat and I was standing on this panel and I could tell it could support my weight just fine. It's very well built and durable. The plastic feels thick and up to par with any other products you might run into. This hatch is about 3/8 of an inch tall? Or so. So it is NOT flush or even close to flush with the surface you mount it to. But it worked out just perfect for me. Great deal for a strong 8" hatch. This hatch is threaded by the way. So it spins when you fit the door back into the ring.

I was doing a rigging on a Crestliner Kodiak and there was no access to the area under the storage locker or helm. There was a rigging tube that I was able to run a fish wire down but couldn't find where it ended. By adding 3 of these I was able to run all of the necessary wiring for an additional power distribution point, speaker wires and transducer cabling down the center of the boat under the floor with plenty of separation to avoid interference with my graph as opposed to under the gunwale which I think looks terrible and often causes interference issues. They're very thick and heavy duty. The hardware is better than most hardware you usually get with these types of projects so it was great that I didn't have to make an extra trip to the hardware store. We used a 4-1/2" hole saw for the installation.

Quality of plastic feels solid and durable. Did not come with mounting screws as advertised. There is an o-ring for the lid but would be nice if it also included a gasket for the housing that the lid screws into. Overall, good product for the price point.

The Hatch arrived quick and was easy to install on a kayak i own. All the parts with it was nicely shipped in good packaging. It’s reliable and durable and keeps the water out for my accessories…
