Muay Thai Boran: El Arte Marcial Tailandes (Spanish Edition)

This is an excellent book for anyone interested in martial arts. This book is about Muay Thai Boran not the form that most people are familiar with, but made popular by Martial art Movie star Tony Jaa. It starts out with a detailed account of how they gathered information about the Martial Arts of Thailand. Then it goes into an explanation of the development of the art/sport of Muay Thai, and the different regions of Thailand having their own styles for the art. At the end is where the author explains moves and combos based on the traditional Muay Thai Boran, which is different from the Muay Thai form that most people recognize. Overall it is a very interesting read and an amazing source of history and information for this relatively unknown form.

I think the book was originally written in another language. If I'm not mistaken the original was written in Italian. The content of the book is informative if you can get pass the direct to English translation. In addition, The book feels like a compilation of articles that the author had published in magazine. Therefore, it didn't really have a good flow from one chapter to another.I was expecting a bit more pictures illustrating the Muay Boran Technique along with explanation. There are a few, but not as much and clear as I like.I would've given it a 4 star if it weren't for the stuff I mentioned above.In any case, a good collection to have in the book case if you collect martial arts books.

Good book, just expected more pictures to get a better feel for the art. Not sure if I will buy the next one.

Disappointed on the limited instruction, more a biography on the organizational structure of Muay Thai Boran.

Todo esta bien, pero esta en idioma tailandés creo.

Good information on a little known martial art, by a man directly involved in its evolution. For Muay Thai, Bando and other southeast asian art practitioners, it's a great way to expand your knowledge. Some of the technique and training material may seem generic or redundant to non-sport / combat art practitioners, but it's still a good read.For historial martial art researchers and multi-art trainers, it's definitely a good buy.

Über das Buch selbst giebt es nix schlechtes zu sagen aber das Buch wurde angeboten in Engl. Deutsch,Spanisch und Französisch.Man hat mir einfach ein Spanisches Exemplar geschickt obwohl ich extra den Verkäufer angeschrieben habe das ich eine Deutsche Version brauche . Oder wenigstens Engl . Das ist jetzt ein amhalb Jahre her und hab bis heute keine Antwort erhalten.

Leider nur eine Zusammenfassung verschiedener Kampfkunst International Artikel. Ganz nett um mehr über die Geschichte des Muay Thai zu erfahren aber als Trainingsanleitung oder Quelle für neue Techniken nicht zu gebrauchen.Insgesamt ok., für den Preis aber entäuschend wenig verwertbare information.
