Hunter Douglas M&B Duette Honeycomb Shade Repair Kit

Instructions are a little hard to figure out but you tube was an enormous help on how to replace this on an old shade. It saved me a lot of money and keep 30 year old shades out of the landfill. Now they function as good as new.

Cord is not quite as thick as original and therefore the blind won't "stop" when it is pulled up. I spent the last 2 years battling the shade after this purchase and yesterday it broke (after being gingerly cared for the entire time). Buy another brand of cord or plan on replacing it again in the near future.

This kits seemed pretty expensive. But it had the parts I needed to restring my blind, which the local vendor charges $100 for. I watched teh You Tube instruction video and with LOTS of patience got the job done in about 2 1/2 hours. The blind work like new.

Seller states you get 96 feet of restringing cord - My package had only had 25 feet.The equalizer (was missing in the original shipment but later sent by the seller) did not match the original unit but you can get this one to work.Since the shade only had 3 pull strings, 25 feet of string in this kit barely made the repair work.

Although it was usable, it was missing the threading needle (which is why I purchased this in the first place), the string was just cooked on itself, and the eyelets were all clear and didn't fit as well as they should. I highly doubt this was an actual Hunter Douglas repair kit.

Liked I had all the parts I needed to restring my blinds. Plus the tool to pull the string through was great. Otherwise there would have been one big problem to pull the string through.

After many tries my husband got the shade to work. The instructions left a lot to be desired. Best help he got was to take another blind down and see how that one was set up. It took many hours because the instructions were inadequate. But it does work now.
