Wear yo jimmy! This is Spinal Tap's brother from another mother...
This is the third time I've bought this, my friends keep forgetting to return copies I've lent them... but I don't mind sharing the love. This documentary about NWH really shows the emotional intensity of the band, their undying brotherhood through adversity and even their own Yoko ("Where's your wallet, man? Where is your ... wallet?").The soundtrack is quality, even if you're not a fan of hip hop, the lyrics are well crafted and funny. Dig this jawn, you won't regret it.

The "Spinal Tap" of rap...very funny!
I first heard about this movie when I was a bartender at a seafood restaurant in Glendale CA and Mark C. Lawrence was a waiter. He was one of the best people I worked with there and an all round nice guy, so when he told me about this rap satire movie he'd been working on I told him I'd definitely check it out! Didn't know it would take until it was released on VHS to do so and I never got to tell Mark how much I love this movie! So Mark, if you're reading this...WTG!!!This is the "Spinal Tap" of rap...IMHO even better than the similar CB4. You don't have to be a rap fan to get a kick out of this movie, if you like ST or other rock/music movies you'll enjoy this. Heck if you like comedies that aren't music related you should still find lots to laugh at.If I were going to compare this to a non-music related movie I guess it would have to be Airplane.I wouldn't recommend this for young kids due to language, suggested violence and sexual content but adults can kick back and laugh their butts off!I was so happy to find this on DVD as we no longer have a VCR hooked up....YAY!

Spinal tap rap version
In tradition of spinal tap, the film follows a group of rap artists having problems making their own identity in music and having to fend off other groups who doesn't take them seriously. A barrels of laughs in this film. Sit back, and enjoy.

If you love to laugh, you'll love this film !!!
Not a huge Rap fan but that doesn't matter one bit... Rusty Cundieff is a talented Director and actor and shines in this film. I was pleased to find it on Amazon... First saw "Fear"" around 2008 and laughed my ass off... There are way too many comedy gems to list - This review would be 10 pages long but a couple that really stick out for me...(Minor Spoiler Alert) Seeing Larry B. Scott (Lamar from the Revenge of the Nerds Movies) as a Gangsta Rapper had me falling out of my chair with laughter. Also their managers have a tendency to getting accentually shot on a regular basis... This film is the "Spinal Tap" of Rap and delivers on all levels!

A Hidden Somethin
Not a gem but it's entertaining and fun. Someone said it's better than CB4, not by far. But I appreciate how is authentically 90's in the way that films can't really be this blatantly offensive anymore, especially with predominantly Black leads.White people will love the extreme Black culture stereotypes, Black folks can enjoy the throwback references and the songs are great. Everybody else will be entertained as well. Not laugh out loud funny but I can't believe they went there funny.

The better choice...
First released just after the better known CB4, no one took much notice of FOABH. In my opinion, this is the better of the two. There are similarities aplenty between the two films, but FOABH sticks to the 'mockumentary' premise (that CB4 abandoned 5 minutes in) to keep it more in line with the Spinal Tap idea. There are laughs aplenty if you know your hiphop or remember the time period of mid 90's/LA riots/Rodney King America. These two movies may share most of the same jokes, but they used to be good jokes, and the music is pretty decent as well.

Do not shoot until you see the whites
The best comedy about muscians there is.It makes Spinal tap and The Comic strip presents attempts look lame.

Cult comedy
Really funny in places and arguably ahead of its time with its ' documentary ' style. You could call it a rap/hip hop This Is Spinal Tap, but doesnt quite reach those heights.6.5 out of 10Well worth a watch.
