Well worth the money
I have an EGO power head and this works well with it. I have a 10 by 50 foot garden and every spring I rent a tiller to loosen up the garden and plow under the growth. This tool will do pretty much the same thing albeit it will take a little longer. It saves me picking up the tiller and returning it as well as messing with oil and gas. I used it after I purchased it and I don’t have to hand weed the paths I create between rows I just use the machine to till it under. The only thing I would say is with the power head battery and this attachment it is quite heavy. I suggest that if you are adding this tool to your collection that you consider the backpack to lighten this combination. Does it work yes. Will it save you money , maybe if you rent a tiller like I did . Will it till to the same depth that a larger tiller does yes with a bit of patients. Is it more useful than a dedicated tiller yes you can get into areas that a larger machine can’t and can be used well into the growing season. Other advantages, there is no gas , oil and tune-ups to deal with. It is more manageable than a regular tiller. It is available at a moments notice. It has enough power to do the job

Excellent !
Very Impressed. I am a disabled vet in my 70's and last year prepping my raised beds was slightly more than just an effort - I needed a better way. - and saw this. It works fantastic ! The soil in the beds is a lot lighter than the flowerbeds., so it cuts through and turns it with ease. One battery has already turned eight beds., and still has half a charge left. [ I already had the power head unit.] I haven't used it on any other soil around the place - but for my raised vegetable beds it really made my prep-work very easy. Note: A little heavy, but the shoulder strap helps a lot. I highly recommend this cultivator / power head unit.

Huge Advantage for Cultivating and Minor Digging
I have many EGO attachments for the Power Head, and this one was a huge game changer. The area in this picture is 16x30 where we're putting raised planters. I didn't snap a picture before building the frame and laying the weed fabric, but this attachment helped me clear the grass and about 2-3" of dirt to get to a clean base to lay the gravel base. I am in the northeast, where you dig with a pick. This would have been absolutely miserable without this attachment. The tool easily attaches to the Power Head. As some others have said, the battery lasts a REALLY long time with this. I was using a 2.5AH and probably tilled for 2 hours straight on a charge. This had no issue digging through the turf. It took time, but it was much easier than trying to dig it out by hand. I also used it to dig a 6" deep trench about 30' long to run the plumbing lines up to the side of the house. I removed the two outer tines so I was working with a slimmer tiller. It dug in and made trenching so easy. Don't get me wrong - this is a bit heavy and it's hard, sweaty work, but it was 10x better than manually digging. I have been extremely impressed with so many of the EGO tools and attachments. If you regularly turn ground for a garden or have needs to do minor trenching, this tool makes it so much easier.

Pretty decent
Works better than I expected although you do have to apply a good amount of downforce to get it to dig down into the soil. But for a tiller that doesn't have wheels under it, it's pretty good for small gardens and doesn't take up much space in my garage. I use the small battery that came with the pole saw and it lasts longer than expected. I'd buy it again given the choice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes a good amount of elbow grease to really get down in the ground.

Small but capable
Bought this to mix my compost pile and chew up some uneven parts of my yard, such that I can level them off. Works well for both tasks. Powerful enough that using it is quite a wrestling match. Can't speak to longevity, as I've not had it long, but it works quite well. Will dig it's way into good soil in seconds. Only limitation is how deep it will dig, as the tines are only 6" or so in diameter.

perfect for my application
This tool is NOT for tilling up turf or tilling rocky soils BUT if you have friable soil, relative rock free then this is a great tool. I Was able to till in a cover crop with relative ease. I have fixed frame raised beds which have been de-rocked. I found the weight with battery and multi-head to be manageable and reasonably well balance. Can use in green house, because no gas fumes. quite relative to gas powered.

LOT of work, but gets the job done
Notice this is a cultivator, not a tiller! I now know there is a difference... When I used this more as a tiller, it got the job done on my very compacted soil, but it was a ton of work for ~400 sq ft. After 3-4 hours, I'd turned over the top 3-5" of soil in a fairly large flower bed. In the most compacted areas, I resorted to using a shovel to loosen up the soil which helped. Using a 7.5Ah battery, I got through about 250 sq ft of tough soil before it died. You'll need a few breaks to get through that much anyway, so battery life is great and not a concern. The next day I felt like I got hit by a train. Super exhausting carrying the heavy cultivator+multihead and trying to force the cultivator down into the ground when it wants to dance along the surface. And that's speaking as a 6'4 fairly strong guy. After tilling, I incorporated more than 4 yards of compost into that 400 sq ft. Using the cultivator for what it was really meant to do was considerably easier. You can drag the multihead and let the cultivator sort of naturally sink to the bottom of the soft stuff and mix it together. While the cultivator claims a ~8.5" max cultivation depth, I did cheat and take off the guard to let the cultivator get all the way down into the 8-9" of material. In retrospect, I wish I'd rented a tiller for the flower bed. I probably would have been done in less than an hour. But this cultivator did get the job done with a workout, it faired better when mixing soft soil, and it did fine roughing up another ~120 sq ft patch of dirt that wasn't so compacted. I also think this will help seed grass on some bare patches later this year where I'll just want to rough up the top half inch or so of soil.

This is a POWER tiller. I was surprised how well it can tear up roots and soil. Goes 4-5” deep on the first pass and down further on the second pass. Solid machine.

Bought this to till our raised beds. I'm getting older, and the wife has increased the number of raised beds. So hand turning the soil is getting tiring. I used with the 5.0Ah battery from our EGO lawnmower and this makes it a bit heavy. I would like to try with the 2.5Ah battery next time. This is easy to lift into our raised beds where even a small traditional tiller couldn't fit. It easily churned through the soil and made quick work of the task. Plenty of power! It used 1 power bar on the 5.0Ah battery, so plenty of juice if more work was required. Highly recommended.

This item easily attaches to the power head and works very well tilling our raised beds. We used it to till in manure and compost into our beds this spring, and it did a great job. We are pleased with it's ease of use and high quality.

Works well. The tiller is powerful and just heavy enough to use on a gravel driveway. I use it instead of spraying chemicals to control weeds in the driveway.
