SurfCo - Surfboard Tail Guard Kit (Available in Clear, Black and White)

It looks real good on my electric skateboard. This is my second time buying these, and so, I was more prepared than my first time. I also bought a small bottle of Loctite super glue and I glued the tail guards on. My only regret was that, after I already glued on the front tail guard, I decided that it would have looked much better if I put the tail guard on upside down. I glued the back-end tail guard upside down and it definitely looks much better this way. It ends up being flush with the deck. Maybe you can see the difference in the photos I posted. I tried to peel off the front tail guard, but that sucker isn't going anywhere lol.

Great product with nice instructions. Strong adhesive back on the segmented rubber strip. The perfect length and width for my Boosted Boards Mini X electric skateboard.Fit the nose end and tail end perfect. Just enough wrapped around the sides and perfect for on the edges. The included adhesive “primer” worked great on the edge surface of the board with no issues where I applied it past the length of the guard.All that plus a nice personal note from the vendor! Mahalo indeed. This mainlander appreciates the aloha spirit AND the quality product.

The two pack was a perfect fit for my Boosted Mini X board (one for the front and one for the back). The tail guard does what it is advertised to do. Seems like it's make of quality rubber so it'll hold up for a while. It was easy to apply. My recommendation is to apply the tail guard "upside down", it flushes with the curvature better and overall a nicer look. But that's just my opinion.

I will start by saying that I got this for my boosted board mini as I was damging it too much on the edges so your experience might be different if you have aregulard board. After a week of using these and following the instructions on how to put on the board, the guard started sliding slightly down everytime. Only on the tail end I also put one on the front and that seems to be staying on firmly. It has been doing its main job of keeping my boards edges scratch free.

I ordered two for my electric skateboard front and back. Installation was easy and straight forward. The adhesive has not given any hint of peeling off In the weeks since I’ve had it. In terms of fit, this looks like it belongs. It is slick and almost disappears into the board. You would have to look for it to notice! The rubber is soft which works well for impact dampening however I question how well it would hold up to scrapes on the asphalt. Of course for something that was meant for surfboards this works incredibly well on the streets.

I really wanted to protect my extra nice looking Magneto longboard - this is the perfect add. I bought two - trimmed one for the nose of the board ... and used the extra pieces for another longboard!

Fits well with my Boosted Mini X. Just ordered another TAIL GUARD for the NOSE of the Boosted Mini X. The NOSE GUARD KIT does NOT fit the Boosted Mini X, it’s only meant for really big longboards or surfboards. If you have a Boosted (or any electric skateboard), get TWO TAIL GUARDS - one for the front and rear of the skateboard. Overall 10/10, application was easy and protects my skateboard well.

I love the product and as a previous reviewer mentions you should buy the twin pack of the tail guards for the mini x or s they fit better than the nose and tail guard setup.
