I think the book is fantastic, but due to a comedy of errors or you could say incidents that would be in a sit-com comedy, it was purchased as a gift but sent back by the person it was purchased for-I have yet to receive credit for the book so I am not happy about this. What occurred is that I purchased the book for my daughter and informed my granddaughters it was arriving for Christmas and they should wrap it up for their mother. Unknown to me, my daughter was ordering many of her Christmas gifts fromAmazon and thought it was sent by mistake so she sent it back. However, the book seller has not issued me a credit.

Pretty decent book, but it does need to be updated more. There were parts of the river that haven't been cleaned up in a while and it was hard to maneuver around all the falling trees. It definitely makes it a bit more challenging, but it would be helpful to know what we were getting ourselves into. The canoes were fine to do the maneuvering, but we also had some inner tubes and those were more difficult to avoid hitting the trees. Good book, just needs to be updated.

Mike Svobs two books on paddling wisconsin are must-have items in any paddler or angler's library. I keep this book and Paddling Northern Wisconsin in my DeLorme gazetteer case along with my Wisconsin atlas and gazetteer and trout regulations. The maps are first rate, with only the necessary information. His descriptions of where you might anglers are great for anglers and paddlers alike in case you wish to avoid them or in case you want to fish some of the hot holes.

I look forward to paddling along some of the routes that are described. Only thing lacking is a better overall map in the back so you can see at a quick glance where all the regions are in relation to the individual maps with each trip.

A must have book for anyone paddling this area. Very useful and relevant information. I would highly recommend this book for planning and overall general information. Even has safety tips and such. Great buy!

The entire series of these books are perfect for paddlers out for a weekend, week, or even just the afternoon. Everything you need to know before hitting the river. River maps, camp sites, phone numbers for local information etc.My only complaint is that before I could purchase Paddling Northern WI they all became unavailable for the kindle.
