A wonderful Darjeeling
After being disappointed by Fortnum & Mason’s Royal Blend (too much Assam for my taste), I can say that their Darjeeling is the best I have tasted in a very long time. I followed their instructions and brewed it for five minutes and I was rewarded by a gorgeous amber liquor and a marvelous delicate taste that warrant the high price of this tea. The tin is quite lovely too, even though, through no fault of F&M, it suffered somewhat from shipment. I will definitely reorder this tea.

Tea tin comes crushed - do not buy as a gift
This tea is very expensive, but when we went to Fortnum and Mason's in London, we knew that it would be the perfect gift for my sister, who loves this blend of tea. It is her favorite. I ordered this for her for Christmas, and when it arrived, the tea tin looked like it had been stepped on! It was crushed and tea had spilled out of the tin into the packing envelope. Yes, they shipped it in an envelope and not a box. I called Amazon Customer Service, and they were very kind and credited my account for this purchase, promising that if I ordered it again, they would ship it in a box with appropriate shipping materials. Unfortunately, the second tin of tea also came crushed, and again, was shipped in an envelope, not a box. I will not order this product again, unfortunately.

Fortnum & Mason is the best
Starting with the tea and ending with the tin, one cannot have a better product. So glad I started buying them again. The Darjeeling has a wonderful flavor. You may have to let steep a bit longer, but you will not be disappointed, to the contrary, a wonderful cup of tea is waiting for you.

Tastes great
Great tasting tea came in a dented tin. Good for personal use not so much for gift giving.

Quality control issue with this batch
Way too much powdery tea mixed with the leaves all throughout this batch.Usually the powdery tea is just at the bottom of the can (which is understandable), but this time it was throughout. The powdery tea is similar in consistency to what you’d find in a Lipton or Tetley tea bag and easily goes through the extra-fine mesh of my metal “Forlife” infuser resulting in lots of dregs at the bottom of every cup. This has not been the norm with this tea and I hope this extra powdery tea was not intentionally put in as a filler to the higher quality leaves. Quite disappointing for a $28 can of tea.P.S. This tea is not necessarily “giftable”. The tin is pretty but it’s always sent in an envelope without bubble wrap protection so always arrives dented. Also, the tape used to secure the lid during shipping leaves a sticky residue on the can that you stick to every time you open the can. I would expect and appreciate more thoughtfulness in the packaging from a high-end tea seller.

high-valued darjeeling with a feint sweetness
Fortnum and Mason is my favorite brand. Its product is reliable. When I bought in France, tea leaf was so fresh as never experienced before. This darjeeling is also one of my favorites and it keeps rich flowery sweetness, which usually lacks in cheaper leaves.

Distorted tin and loose lid, tea leaves were leaked in the package
Lid was loose, tea leaves leaked from the tin, so the tea leaves have been moist and not fresh. Tin is distorted and could not send it out as a gift. Just found out that it could not be returned! Around $30 for a poor quality! Swear that I will not buy from this store again!
