Great Value!!!
The value of this kit is crazy. It comes with everything you need to go about your soldering projects. The only thing you may need is a way to remove old solder like a copper desoldering braid or solder sucker. This thing heats up quick and performs great. It also comes with many different iron tips. Fantastic purchase.

YIHUA STATION MET ALL EXPECTATIONS, YOU WONT REGRET BUYING THIS ONE - VERY PLEASED.
Im -VERY- pleased with this Yihua soldering station. External & internal build quality along with performance are excellent for this price range, both cords seem good quality, (heavy) transformer puts out good power and I really appreciate the simplicity of the temperature control for the attractive blue digital display and activity LED, no complicated NASA menu to navigate just a dial control for temperature, a simple button to select C* and F* on the fly and a calibration option if needed, which I didnt need to touch - heating time is reasonably fast from cold and the iron seems to recover well during use with the basic testing I gave it before this review. Even the quality of the factory tips is much better than usual aftermarket ones of same type. Tip walls are thicker & plating seems better and it shows in the heating and recovery performance. The only negatives I can come up with is I wish the base units fuse was externally accessible, its internal with the power switch and requires soldering to replace - and the base unit needs to have grippy rubber feet like the irons stand does so it wont slide around on hard surfaces, also I wish the cord on the iron was a foot longer, but these are just my opinions. I like that the iron stand is metal with non-skid feet and comes with a tip cleaning fixture containing a (REAL BRASS) mesh ball and rosin flux tip cleaning solution in the bottom, brass is the only and (correct) mesh material for a tip cleaner as its a soft metal and wont damage the tip plating - cheaper ones are made from either copper or worse yet flash plated steel meant to look like brass, a magnet will tell you which as brass is not attracted to a magnet. Overall im still very pleased, I got the green and black "20th anniversary" edition just for the added color instead of just another black box on the table, the green case looks great with the black brushed aluminum face plate. It would be hard to do much better for the price far as performance and build quality, Yihua quality and performance have come a long way in the last few years and the attention to engineering detail shows in the products performance, build quality and value. There many options in this price range and some are also pretty good, but Yihua has obviously worked to make a good name for itself in the best ways possible - by paying attention to the most important areas - product quality, performance, continued improvement, value and im guessing they also listen to customers comments and reviews, if so it shows. Based on my initial experience this product is a solid performer, as always time will tell on longevity but ive found nothing in my examination of build quality to say it wont last a good long time and one last important thing - Yihua has very good parts availabilty, many do not. You will be hard pressed to go wrong buying this one, its a winner.

I wanted to like this but it died on the second use
This is a great deal on a nice soldering station set. I'm a beginner at soldering and after the expected learning curve I was able to make clean solder joints and used this to upgrade some components on a tube amplifier. I found the temperature settings to be accurate and I was able to do the work on a delicate pcb without damaging any pads. The kits comes with some nice accessories like a metal sponge in a tin to keep tips clean, a spool of lead free solder, tweezers, and an assortment of tips.

Working Good. Excellent For Starting Out
I bought this a few months ago, but just started using this recently. Everything functions well and it seems to work as it should. I really like the digital temp display and the button to switch between C / F. The whole look / feel does NOT seem cheap. I feel like this is a good buy for someone starting out. I like that it came with everything needed. So far I have spent 10 hours using this and it is working great. Very happy with it so far.Improvement - I would have given this item 5 stars but did not for these reasons.1- the instructions need more detail on temperatures for the wire it comes with at the minimum. It was confusing figuring out what temperature the iron needed to be. I would also add information on basic soldering technique if marketing this as a beginner soldering iron.Second - I would recommend changing the wire it comes with to something thinner such as .32 gauge wire. The 1MM wire it comes with is much to thick and required too much heat and was hard to learn with because it did not want to melt on contact without the iron almost being maxed out on temperature. I had to go buy .32 solder wire and once I used that I was able to turn the heat down about halfway and it was much much easier.Other than those two things I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it to other beginners. Thank you.

Works well!
The connecting cable to the iron sold it for me. It lays flat and doesn't try to get in the way while soldering. Solder heat is adjustable, and the weight of the iron is good and fits in your hand well.
