Streamlight88051 Tactical Holster for Select Streamlight Flashlights, Black

This is a great holster for my Streamlights that I carry. It fits them both perfectly and without any modifications like I have seen in other reviews. I have carried my ProTac HL in it and it holds that light very securely. I have held it upside down and shaken the holster and the flashlight doesn't move, yet it is very easy to remove the light when I need it. The same goes for my ProTac HL 3. The clip works great and fits nicely on my duty belt. I also like how the clip itself bends inward to hold itself against my belt so it doesn't move around. Nice touch!

Very good holster for the light, however, lacks a proper secure tail cap for the torch. On my job, I've noticed the torch seems to ride up or down the holster. The mechanism that the holster uses is a piece of plastic that is attached to the main body of the holster, it isn't like other holsters where it has a strong spring-assisted locking mechanism. Also, the belt hook is semi-opened from the bottom, meaning it can slide on and off a belt without having to remove the belt entirely. Although this sounds nice, it does make me paranoid about dropping it when I'm climbing or crouching.

The Description says it will fit the streamlight protac HL...it doesn't and wont fit the protac HL usb version without modification. After doing the modification it has great retention, and Is durable and solid. Amazon says it's a nylon construction...it isn't, it's a hard plastic simular to kydex. It fits a few of my other streamlights. Worth the current price. Depending on your light, it may need to be modified.

For starters, this does not fit my flashlight (Streamlight ProTac HPL USB) without modification, as it said that it would. That off the bat is very annoying. Luckily it was fairly easy to make it fit. The first picture shows how far out my flashlight stuck. That is way to far out and wouod not hold the flashlight in place. I took the holder apart and used a dremmel to grind down the two studs that the spring is on. I took about half of the material off each piece to get it to properly fit my flashlight. It feels pretty solid now and goes all the way in as it should and is nice and snug. If you have to do this take a little off at a time so that it isn't overly loose. I do like that I can just slide this on over my belt and don't have to take my belt apart. It clips on good and I don't feel worried about it falling off.

Works well. Easy to pull flashlight out.

It holds my Steamlight. Wow, cool, as advertised.

I purchased this for duty use, to hold my Streamlight Strion flashlight. About 50% of the time, whenever I pull the flashlight out of the holster, the entire holster comes off the belt. What's the point of a holster that can't stay attached to a belt?Frustratingly worthless is how I would describe this holster.My belt is a Bianchi Accumold 2.25" duty belt. This holster fits onto the belt perfectly, but the clip will not keep it on the belt when I pull my Strion upwards to remove it from the holster.I bought a different holster with positive retention to replace this one.

It fit my stream light perfectly and tightly

This holster is a very good addition to my expensive ($150) Strion LED HL flashlight. The retention is great thanks to the big plastic tension spring inside the holster pushing against the flashlight's body. The holster itself is beefy and feels a lot like the plastic baton holsters by ASP or Monadnock. It is clear that the designers have built this holster for duty wear, with years of service in mind. It is not too big either, which is perfect in terms of wear comfort.I had cheaper holsters before (nylon, leather, mirage, etc), but they all ended up breaking at the strap and almost caused the loss of the flashlight on the few occasions. I'd definitely recommend to spend a little more on this rock solid holster to protect your investment.Streamlight did not disappoint, this holster is just as awesome as the flashlight itself. This is the creme de la creme of duty lights and holsters right here, bar none. This light and its' powerful flash mode (2 rapid clicks), along with the open carry quick access holster, is an intermediate disorientation weapon all by itself.

Perfect for the make and model of my Streamlight flashlight, durable, fits to duty belt, holds torch securely… my only complaint- it’s not telescopic so it only sits vertically and has no adjustability. Beats the cheap vinyl holders as they only get a few months of wear and the user has to constantly replace them. I’d purchase again, I would recommend this over the synthetic alternatives.

I was looking for a simple plastic holster like this for smaller handheld flashlights, like 6" long x 3/4" body, with 1" head. So many holsters are designed for 1" body. This holster, a flashlight like that drops about 1/4" below the top of the plastic holster, but it works fine. It won't pass through, and you just pop it up by lifting the bottom of the body and it's in your hand. Great! If you were crawling it would fall out.

The light doesn't slide out the other end. There is also a belt adjusting piece to fit different size belts. Fits my light perfectly.
