Very interesting! However, these animals are not ugly (but the point is well-taken, that we need to protect all animals, not just the ones some humans consider cute). I took off one star because the there is not enough contrast between the color of the letters and the pages on which they are printed.

Bought this for my roommate for her birthday. She loves ugly animals, and I don't mean cute-ugly. She thoroughly enjoyed this. The animals are truly ugly, in the most majestic way.

The pictures were giggled over and there are some cool facts; however, I don't understand why they chose to make the print in the book so light. It makes it hard to read.

My kids absolutely love this book - mostly because of the Ziggy-looking blob fish, but who wouldn't? It's a fun yet informative book for elementary school-aged students.

My kids were fascinated for the entire trip to their grandparents house. No fighting, just lots of "Mom! You won't believe this!" And you know what? Most of the things they shared I didn't believe. Had to take it and read for myself....

This was a perfect Christmas gift!
