Joseph and the Colorful Coat: The Brick Bible for Kids

Love every Brick Bible book available, and this is a particularly engaging story. The creations are genius. Thanks for making scripture stories so much fun!

Most of us are familiar with Joseph and his coat of many colors and The Brick Bible for Kids does a great job at hitting all the details. This isn't a sugar-coated and shortened version that you get from a lot of children's Bible story books that are out there. This one hits all the details and covers all the information. It even includes Potiphar's wife and how Joseph was thrown in prison. This is the first children's book that I have read that actually includes all this. The ability for my kids to be able to picture these stories with the use of LEGOs is brilliant, and both my four year old and eight year old enjoyed it! The book is based on the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Most of us know the story of the jealous brothers who sold Joseph in to slavery and how he saved not only the people of Egypt but his own family from starvation.The interesting part of this book was the illustrations. The characters were created from Legos. The faces of the characters showed the emotions of each scene. Even the clothing of the Lego characters was in character to the period of time of the story. It was quite interesting to see the detail in the Legos and how they told the story so well.*I received this for review - all opinions are my own*

WARNING: A mockery of the Bible, and was not created to be accurate at all. of the reviews, especially the ones who left a 1 star.Not the Bible in context AT ALL. None of the stories were told accurately according to the original Bible. While reading the book, you will see that the author intentionally skewed the stories and the characters. Including whom Jesus is.I was tremendously disappointed by this production. I thought it was even praise worthy at first, until I opened the book to the FIRST PAGE. God was immediately depicted as an angry old man. He even held a knife a few pages in (WHERE WAS THIS EVER MENTIONED in the Bible?)Almost the entire book is graphic, filled with stories taken out of context and with characters fighting/slaughtering each other.This production (along with his other books) are a direct attack on the Bible and the Christian faith. There is nothing more to say about this, but really, it's time for this author to move on to bigger things in his life.The target audience that the author wants to captivate (and mislead) are children and adults who don't know the Bible, Christ, and God the Father. The artwork in these books are beautiful, but the stories themselves are a bit lacking. There are many important details about the bible stories that are left out, which makes them a bit disappointing.
