Simply Gargle Salt Water Rinse, 0.4-Ounce Ampules in 12-Count Boxes pack of 3

I have used this product many times in the past and it does work very well. Having stated that, I have to qualify my approval of this specific version of this product. I purchased the three pack last winter from Amazon, and of the 12 packages in each box, the fill level is inconsistent. I have had ampules with so little liquid in them, there was nothing to gargle. Those that are "filled" are still an insufficient quantity to really "gargle". The ampules are very hard to open, they do not twist off as indicated. If you are getting them to pack in a suitcase, you better pack scissors, too. While I know the actual product works, this packaging is just useless and the quality control, as far as content in each ampule is inconsistent at best. This company used to sell this product in little single use foil packets that had three times as much liquid and opened quite easily. I wish that version was available in this situation, as I can no longer find it in the pharmacy. In this particular format, the purchase is a waste of money.

Yes, the little packets are a bit hard to open (but better that they don't leak). But I find them most convenient; I also find them effective for making the throat feel much better when a cold's coming on. The mixture tastes herbally medicinal but is not offensive. I found that I had to learn how to gargle properly, but that comes with a few times' practice.I find that my singing voice in church on Sunday morning is much stronger if I gargle one of these beforehand. Overall, I recommend these and intend to get more for myself.

A few years ago I tried Simply Gargle. I liked it very much and have been looking for it. I found it on line and ordered this. I do not care for the form or amount of liquid there is to gargle. Some one came up with this new form or design with the twist off tab. There is simply not enough to get a good gargle going and it doesn't taste good. If you ever come out with the old form again, I would certainly buy it. -Mrs. Jacks

I am convinced that using this product as recommended saved me from a more prolonged and painful throat and sinus infection. The small (barely 3" long x .5" thick), easy-to-use, and single-use packets allow dosing wherever and whenever you need it. The plastic-tab top simply twists off to allow a strong stream of solution to be squirted directly into the back of your throat. I stored mine in the fridge so that I could get the added benefit of cold relief, but room temp is the normal delivery.Besides soothing my raw, ailing throat, I felt this salt solution also mitigated the sour, bad breath that usually accompanies sore throats and nasty, draining sinuses.Simply Gargle is a simply practical and effective product.

I have used this product before and found it to an almost miracle cure. However, the new box of 36 doses arrived and they are difficult to impossible to open and the ampules are all dried up with no liquid in them. The "Twist-Off" tip is a joke and you need a pair of scissors to open the ampuels. I will try and return them to Amazon.

Pretty dang convenient, but there are buts. If at home putting some salt in a glass would I'm guessing work just as good for way less money. If away, well, these are tiny pouches and you'd need to carry a bunch. Might be easier to just carry a few salt packets. So sure, nice to have, but it's a lot of plastic and cost for not much utility.

This is an excellent product I use it the moment I get a scratchy throat or feel any cold symptoms
