Just adjust it to where you want to take a picture and take the picture. I could tell that it is made really good. Not a cheap device for your phone. Well worth the purchase and fun too. Once I figured out how to install this handy contraption on my phone, I found that it is really a cool little device to have. It does make it so that you can truly take a photo from any angle. I have to use this without my case in place, but I found that after I did some digging and checking previous reviews that there is an adhesive magnet that is to be attached to the phone and that is what the magnet sticks to. There were no clear directions on the product making this a little ambiguous, and the little metal adhesive rings are buried inside, not visible unless you were looking for something else. All in all, I think it would be a good gift for the techie in your life who has it all.
