Update -- (06/01)Almost 8 months later, the replacement charger is still working fine.Seller was quick to respond and remedy the situation.I moved the mount from the windshield to the dash so the charger is on the inside part of the sunshade (<80F) instead of between the windshield and the shade (Temp > 100F). That one change ensures a longer lifespan for the charger.Original -- (10/2019)Worked great the first few days.LIKE: Loved the "automatic" resize clamps for clasping the phone.LIKE: Fast charge feature worked great on my Galaxy-S7 with the Unicorn Beetle case.DISLIKE: Failed after 1 week in the Florida sun: Suction cup no longer holds to the windshield and the charging pad dislodged from its electronics as the bonding glue melted (pictures attached). Because of this separation, the charger is unable to clasp and activate the charging feature. All it does is open/close/open the clasping arms.Will give store option to replace, or I have to return for full refund.

So I teach school and like to have a charging station to encourage students to relenquish their phones. I put this on a desk and aksed a student to try thier ipone in it - It worked. The cradle auto adjust to the phones width then you genlty touch the silver markers on the side to release the phone. Then I tried my Samsung in it. and it did the exact same thing as stated in the description. This was so awesome I swappped the one I had in my car that was about 6 months old for this one as it is so very much nicer. The students can use the older one in the room. Yes these are awsome for cars but you can put several on a desk with powered usb high speed hub and voilla you have your very own multi phone easy drop off station. I wish I had the personal funds to get more but alas this one will have to do for now. Sad I can't use my budget to get devices that help with distracted learning. My recommendation is get this product.

This is a great product for a time. The first one I bought, was a wonder. It held my phone tight and easy to install. I took it on a business trip and installed it in my rental. It worked the first day but then started acting up. When it opened to release the phone, the arms would rattle and shake for about 2-3 seconds after opening. Otherwise, it still worked. I was in a hurry and forgot it in the rental when I left.Bought another one when I returned home. 2nd one worked well too. For 2 months, then started the shaking like the first one. I continued using it until the arms wouldn't close. So, Im buying another one. Great holder, just wish it was more reliable.Last point, you open the holder by touching a metal band behind the phone. I kept bumping it when touching my phone so I put some tape on each side to cover the metal and left the bottiom uncovered to operate. problem solved.Cheers!

I like that it is sturdy and charges my phone but ive only had this 1 month and the arms that open and close to hold the phone are no longer staying closed and keep coming open and dropping my phone......UPDATE: this is a piece of crap....don't buy it. Already need to get slmething different!!!Update....nothing has changed. It is getting worse!

DANGEROUS! This garbage can get you into a serious accident. For some reason the grip is digital and will open and close for no reason while you drive.Otherwise it's well made but why in the world does the grip just open and close.Also you can also put your phone in once the e car is on as it requires juice to open and close.

These charge but you'd be wise to charge the phone directly and take the charging cord out of the QI charger once the phone is secure because, if you dont, when the arms start opening and closing all on their own and you're driving, and your phone falls out and cracks like ours did, you'll find this is not worth it.

I noticed one or two reviews mention some bad qualities like the suction failing or the wireless charger pealing but I decided to buy it anyway. It was something I notice in many other similar products and wrote it off. I did not have any of those problems but the arms that grab hold of the phone broke in less than a month of purchase. The arms that hold the phone to the charger seem like it disconnected from the motor and clicks when it tries to pull tension on the phone and will occasionally just let go.TLDR: The motor that hold the phone to the charger died in less than a month

It didn’t charge it consistently, the screen would light up so show it was charging, then go to sleep, then light up again, then go so sleep and so on. The battery never got a chance to actually charge.When the phone fell out of it and the whole thing fell off the vent that was the last straw, refunded.
