Brunner 15 METRE ROLL FLAT FOOD GRADE HOSE WITH CARRIER

Well! What can one say about a hose! Fantastic seems a bit OTT but this little beauty is brilliant! We bought it for use in the motorhome as we were fed up of having to coil up the old one and try and keep the kinks out of the blessed thing!I spent hours researching and reading reviews of different types of hoses and googled for days finding the best thing for our needs and this little baby came up trumps.Took this on our European Tour this summer and it performed just as it should. Yes the flow may be reduced with the design of 3 small tubes but not to the degree that it caused a problem. Reduced flow may be a bit of an exaggeration so maybe not quite as fast would be more accurate. Source water pressure plays a big part in how fast the water is delivered. The 'not quite as fast flow' pales into insignificance once you realise the ease of use and lack of space taken up in the wet locker.The only criticism I have is the 'tap end' spinning round when rolling the used hose back onto the reel. Water residue splashes everywhere!Would I buy again? For sure this is the best hose for the motorhomers and caravanners out there.

I was looking for a replacement water hose for our new motorhome; the old flat hose having gone with the old motorhome.This one appealed to me because it wasn't too long, and the 3 mini-tubes mean the water runs without the need to un-ravel the whole lot.That's the good bit.The not so good: it's heavy! for the weight-conscious, this seems to me to be a bit on the hefty side. Much heavier than my previous flat hose reel.Also as other reviews have said, the hose itself doesn't feel very flexible like it might snap when unrolling - not convinced how long it will last; and also the reel itself feels brittle.Overall it's alright. It should do the job, and with no need to unravel the full length to use. But I'm disappointed with the weight, and materials, and feel it a bit on the expensive side.

This is a thousand times better than the old fabric style flat hose, and works as well on the reel as off it. My only criticism is that because the hose is full of water after you've used it on the reel, you need to cap both ends with a blanking plug to stop the water slowly dribbling out when you put it away in the back of your van. I've made my own using Hozelok threaded tap connectors that I've filled with Araldite. Obviously one end can be sealed by leaving the included spray nozzle on if you like, but for motorhome use you tend not to need the nozzle so a blanking plug is a more neat solution. Either way, the hose itself is a great product and the reel is adequate as long as you treat it with some common sense.

I bought this hose to use at the marina and fill my drinking water tank with it, I'm not 100% I like it.On the positive side is light, easy to carry, easy to roll, it keeps very nice and tidy and doesn't take much spaceWhat I don't like about it is that the gun feels very flimsy, I think a gun with a pointy end would have been much more useful in this kind of hose since more often it'll be used to fill containers that to water your garden, so I don't really see the point of having the different spraying options and the gun having a flat wide surface makes it difficult to aim when filling a container. Also because the actual hose it's made of 3 small pipe lines join together the flow it's not great, but I understand in order to get it flat and compact this is the only way.Overall I think it's an OK product, wasn't too expensive and does the job but some improvement could be done

I have had this hose for just over 9 months and it has failed. The pipe has developed a leak right at the join where it goes in to the connector. Unlike normal design hose pipes you cannot just cut the pipe and re fit the end, as it is a sealed unit. This is a serious design flaw, as it renders the hose unrepairable and therefore unusable.The hose pipe has not been subjected to extremes of temperature and has been stored indoors on the reel. It gets used roughly every fortnight and cannot have been used more than 20 times.For the price I expected it last far longer.Would not recommend, or buy again. Certainly not value for money considering the use I have had and the short time it has lasted.A classic example of design over function.

Seemed like a good idea, but as others have said, the cage for the hose is awkward and very brittle and likely to snap. Also I needed to add an extra bit of hose to attach to the tap because the fittings are a bit awkwrad where the hose comes out of the middle of the cage. The hose itself is slow because the flatness is acheived by having three small channels next to each other, rather than one large hole. But the biggest issue for me was that it makes the water taste weird. Even after flushing through, there seems to be a metallic taint to the water used afterwards. I've had more success with a new latex expandable one, and no funny taste.

100% crap, would never recommend this product to anyone, the plastic casing is flimsy as hell feel like it would break so easily due to its brittleness of the plastic, its a night mare to roll off the reel even worse to try and roll back on, a complete waste of time and well over priced item, didn't bother to send it back as it was 14.00 pounds to do so, no return label, and no response from supplier when e mailed, a truly crap item and crap service

This hose is fantastic. It works without fully extending the hose and means we were able to reach a tap from the pitch without moving. We had to adapt the end that goes into the motorhome tank because it has a tap fix on it so we just pushed a small piece of hose into that end. The carrier is strong and dosn't look like it will snap or crack.

Postage and delivery were are first class.I have a slight disappointment with the product.The concept is great the reality falls down a bit.The hose is quite rigid and not as soft and flexible as say a PVC garden hose.This make I difficult to handle on the reel.The positives are that it packs away very neatly and it puts the water where it's needed.

The design of three inner pipes decreases flow rate considerably so as long as you are not in a rush this is a good item. I use mine in a Motorhome but wish the flow rate was quicker but hey I have time on my hands.....

So glad I bought this hose. It’s best feature is the fact the hose doesn’t have to be fully unwound in order for the water to flow properly. I use it for filling my fresh water tank on my Motorhome so it was a good selling point for me. The reel is a little flimsy but as you don’t have to unwind it all the way it’s not an issue for me.

Poorly made, broke and punctured within two seasons. Restricts flow, very slow filling. Neat idea but look for better quality so as not to waste money and be chucking plastic into landfill so quickly.

As previously mentioned on other reviews it is a bit slow due to the hose being three thin bore pipes attached together laterally. This however does make the hose retract easily onto the reel. Also allows you to use the hose without fully extending. The reel could be a bit stronger, however with careful use it should be ok.

excellent piece of kit does what it says on the label, the carrier seems a bit flimsy but it does the job, the only problem encountered was the stiffness of the actual hose, when completely unrolled it tended to coil which made it a bit awkward to rewind but that may resolve itself with use, the big advantage is in not having to unwind it completely every time as the rigid construction of the hose allows water to pass through while still on the carrier

Bought this item last year and it worked well in the UK (and UK weather ! ) Thought it was so good got a friend to buy one too. Just been to the Vendee (France) were temperatures for a few days were around the 30c mark ( before going cooler ). Friend's hose burst and was binned, mine expanded to such a degree that it won't wind onto the reel and is useless. Have emailed Brunner 3 times to ask for help, apart from the initial automated response ( " we'll get back to you as soon as possible " ) absolutely nothing.
