Brother RSE625 Computerized Sewing and 4inchx4inch Embroidery Machine, White (Renewed)

The product came in pristine condition. Did not come in original box. Wash packaged very well. This is a refurbished machine however. Did not come with product manuals, user manuals or accessorie/stitch manuals. This is why I rated a 3 across the board. I had to figure it out myself. Lastly, it did not come with the CD that is supposed to be included which contains more stitches. So far I am happy with my machine. Seriously changes transforms your sewing. Crossing my fingers it doesn't go wonky due to it being refurbished. I will update if possible.

I have no issue using refurbished items, so I jumped on buying this machine at this price! The machine is refurbished by Brother, not Amazon. My machine looks brand new, and works perfectly. My only complaint is that it was missing a really vital piece....the embroidery foot!! It came with all of the standard things like scissors, 4x4 hoop, needles and the sewing foot, but the part I need the most is not there. Luckily, this is my 4th machine, and I have extra feet, but if I were a beginner, I would be utterly confused and frustrated on how to use the embroidery part.

I was very nervous about this purchase because of the other reviews; but this came with everything it's supposed to have, everything works like it's supposed to, the machine was clean, it's in great condition (essentially brand new), and the instructional booklets are very helpful and informative. I'm thoroughly impressed. This is a great deal, and I highly recommend this machine for hobbyists.

This came as a previously opened item. All accessories were there. No damage, and was in original packaging. The machine has worked perfectly. I have been wanting a new machine for a long time, and I am so pleased with how well this works. Worlds better than the singer I had been using from the 70's!

This was a little dirt but nothing a small vacuum cant suck out. You cant expect from a refurbished product. There is a little bit of inconsistency with the lining of the fabric but I was able to reprogram the device and recalibrated it to work correctly.

Did not come with all the extras, no thread, scissors, tools, etc, for beginners ,not enough info,( which foot to use, that you needed special backing, or use certain thread etc,

Throughly enjoyed this machine. Came in like brand new, including all the additional parts/ tools. I was skeptical about the bad reviews but they're definitely outdated because my machine came out amazing!

I only owned this item for 6 months. It worked fine. Then one day I turned it on and it said that it had malfunctioned. I had already owned a similar Brother machine that I bought through Amazon that popped an error code within less than a year that I had to return, so this time I purchased the Asurion protection plan to go with it. After a lot of phone calls and online customer service chats I sent the machine to Asurion for repair. The main board had gone out and the machine was beyond repair. They gave me less than I paid for it on an Amazon gift card. At this time the same model is twice as much as it was 6 months ago. After buying two different models of Brother machines on Amazon I think I will try a local sewing machine shop. Very disappointing and frustrating.

When I initially saw this listing, I did a search on RSE625, and google only returned results for SE625, so assumed that it was a typo in the title. The description did not indicate that this was a refurbished item, and the only reviews I saw were negative ones from the US, about the wrong used item shipped, so assumed it was just an anomaly there, so went ahead and purchased, assuming that this would be a new item. Since then, there was a new canadian review about the same issues. It sounds like the "refurbished" version has some serious QA issues, so I refused the package, when it arrived and confirmed that it was indeed a refurbished item.I think I would rather purchase the other model which is new, with the same features, and only at a slightly higher price. It just doesn't have the cd containing the 200 extra embroidery files, instead (SE600). Wish the listing was a bit clearer on the state of the product, to save from unnecessary returns.
