This light is perfect for an above door light. It lights the doorway so you can see to unlock your door.

Used this at an exterior door with no wired lighting. Lights up every time we drive in and covers a good area so we can see to get things out of the car, unlock the door, etc. And scored points with hubby - he's very impressed! I use rechargeable batteries and it's only been about 5 weeks but they've lasted well even in our sub-freezing Montana winter. Perfect solution for many applications. May get another to put inside the shed.

Work well but they are by no means warm lights. They’re very blue-white.

This light is awesome! I actually thought it was a 4 pack I was getting, pics were a bit deceiving but this light is exactly what I wanted. I use it for a security light camping and just bungee it to a tree. I placed it about 30-35 feet from my tent in a way to shine on the whole site if there was any movement or someone tried to enter at night etc. I tested it by going behind my tent now probably 40 feet away and waited until it went out and as soon as I moved it came on. Its brightness is perfect not too much but not too dim. Bright enough to see well but not blinding. Very sensitive which is what I wanted. I will be purchasing another one.

Doesn't give out enough light for reading. Seems to run out of battery charge in a few hours. Takes at least 12 hours to recharge battery.I did like the way the magnetic light attaches to the base. The adhesive backing was not sufficient to hold the base in place, it was necessary to screw it in.

The screws that were included to use for installing the back plate were so soft that the heads stripped before even getting the screws in. They then stuck out too far to hold the plate, nor could I get them back out in order to return the screws and back plate with the item when returning.

Need a light that runs on batteries this is the one

Love these little lights for their being inexpensive, motion activated, battery powered, and can be aimed at a target such as a combination lock if needed. But the mounting could be made much easier, e.g., mount a plate fastened to the wall with 2 or 4 self-tapping screws and design the light itself to snap into the plate with a simple twist. And there probably should be an O-ring for a good seal. The part with the light & batteries does come off with a simple twist but probably needs an O-ring too. If you can get past the installation, this is a nice little outdoor light for the price.

Bought two of these and both arrived without the mounting plate.
