Louder than the original horn
These horns look good and sound great. Install was easy for me, I already had wire and connectors. I like that it comes with a relay but I used the existing wiring so didn’t need it.

I find myself wishing someone will pull out in front of me!
LOUD!!!!! Fantastic horn and easy to install on my Toyota Highlander. It literally took me 15 minutes from start to finish, and I did it the right way. Toyota makes it easy to get to your horns. In less than two minutes I was unbolting and unplugging the old horns. I was thrown at first by the positive and negative posts, seeing Toyota just has one simple plug, but I plugged the Toyota plug into one side and then ran a 12 gage wire from the other post to ground with the bolt that attached the horn to the car frame. No need for the relay. I wrapped all connections with electrical tape and repeated the same process on the other side. Before buttoning up the car again I tested out the horns. LOUD!!!! Interestingly they are ear piercingly loud when you are in front of the car, but not loud at all from inside the vehicle. All sound goes straight forward. Even standing at the side of the car they only sound like a normal car horn volume, but again... anyone in front of you is going to get out of the way FAST. It actually hurt my ears standing 5 feet in front of the car.I wanted train horns, but also wanted to stay married. These horns do the job great. I couldn't be happier. Solid product built incredibly well. Nice job Hella! I would totally buy these again.I was not paid for this review nor did I receive the product for free, nor am I related to, or friends with, anyone associated with this product. It's just that darn good! And they look super cool from the outside.

Hella good horns!
Loud and compact. Installed them in the faring of my dad’s Harley Streetglide and they’re absolutely perfect!

About as loud as Ford OEM horns-but with that modern wimpy sound of today's vehicles!
Hella Corp. has been in business for a long time manufacturing quality products so I just hope this is another example, these pair of yellow horns were made in India??? These horns are noticeably heavier and a little bigger than the stock Ford OEM horns and sound almost just as loud. The write-ups had me believe they would be LOUDER than the oem horns, not so! I tried both the direct battery wiring connection with the enclosed relay and the straight factory connection without the relay, and noticed no difference in sound loudness. With some minor adjustments so that both of these horns fitted well within the confined space of my vehicle, I connected these horns using new 10gauge wire and secured them to the vehicle. Walla-they worked-they look sturdy, they are heavier, they are a bit bigger, and sound about the same as the stock horns, but now have that modern wimpy sound of all of today's vehicles, only louder. So I hope they last just as long. Wish the yellow horn covers would have come painted black from the factory but they can be painted any color you want, just by taping around the yellow covers and spraying or removing the covers. These are universal fit horns so expect some minor modifications during installation.

Beep Beep!
These "Sharptone" horns really do a nice job of alerting the average hamfisted driver to your presence on the road. I opted for these Sharptones (yellow) over the more popular Supertone (red) because I wanted a slightly deeper tone. There's a few comparison videos around, just search "sharptone vs supertone".Installation is straightforward enough. Although, the nuts that hold the brackets onto the backs of the horns are EXCEPTIONALLY tight, as the other reviewer stated. However, if you are careful and mindful of what you're doing, no harm will come of loosening them. I used an impact wrench with good results. I can't really fault the product here because it seems like they aren't designed to be loosened or removed. The kit does NOT any wiring or accessories. You receive two (2) horns, and one (1) relay, nothing more.Something worth noting is that these pull a LOT more wattage than your average stock horn. You won't get the full effect unless you run heavier gauge wire directly to/from the battery and to the relay (the instructions show you how). I'd say 16ga wire minimum, but 14ga or better is more realistic. You'll also have better results if you run a ground from the battery to these horns versus grounding to the frame. Just remember, melted wires are a fire hazard; the stock wiring in your car ISN'T designed for these. As far as performance and appearance, it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. They have an aggressive yet subtle look behind the grill of my STi. They are also EXCEPTIONALLY LOUD. My ears rang for a few minutes after being subjected to the full force of these horns. To simulate the average distance on the road, I stood 20 feet in front of the car and had a friend activate the horns - the sound is UNBEARABLE, believe me.Finally, it should be noted that these horns "project" their sound, similar to a PA speaker. If you're anywhere but in front of the car, the sound level is average.

More assertive without being overly obnoxious
This horn was an easy upgrade for my 2015 Toyota Highlander. I used some conversion cables I found on Amazon and had it swapped out pretty quickly. The sound is way louder than the stock horn, but not over-the-top like those obnoxious train horns. It’s got a strong, clear tone that actually gets people’s attention without making me feel like I’m overdoing it.Since installing it, I’ve noticed way fewer people cutting me off. The OEM horn just didn’t cut it—people would still merge into my lane even after I hit it. I was starting to think I was invisible! With this one, they actually react and back off. If I needed another set for a different vehicle, I’d buy these again without thinking twice.

Great OEM replacement when they go out!
These are loud enough for sure. They don't have that deep, big car or truck sound, but more a that little car sort of tune, but maybe triple the volume. Does the job! Oh yeah, tricky to hook up if you're not well versed with wiring and stuff. I installed them on both my vehicles and both required a very different installation.
