I have been looking for a hub to be used when I am traveling and this is a good fit. Unlike hubs that connect with a cable, this snaps into place and doesn’t take up a ton of room. This allows me to hook into either side of the laptop, which helps when on a plane. The fit and finish feels good on the unit I received. This unit also passes through the full power for my 13" MacBook Pro. I have run into quite a few of these that are putting out 25-30 Watts max, which is a big deal.Pros* Tightly connects to my laptop, seems to be well manufactured.* Manages a good number of connections (Power, USB-C, 2 USB 3.0, SD and Micro SD)* Power is reaching laptop at 60 Watts - See last picture (Full power on 13” MacBook, wasn’t able to test with 15” charger)* Has 4K HDMI connection built in (Many others lack this)Cons* HDMI is only 4K@30Hz (that said, no hub I have tested is able to do 60Hz)* The Color match to space gray is ok.* USB power output isn’t good enough for a DVD/Blu-ray DriveNote: There is one confusing thing about this hub. It supports Thunderbolt 3 4K/5K@60Hz through the same port you charge through. This means you have to choose either to charge the laptop, or use a monitor through that connection.

This is one of the better ones on the market. With USB 3.0, you know you're getting at least 400mbs transfer rate throughout the device, and with USB C power-thru, what's not to love? It feels sturdy, not cheap and plasticy like some of the other products that look just like this.Just know what you're buying. HDMI out for one monitor, USB C power-thru. This does NOT compete with the thunderbolt adapters ranging in the $300 range. I use this for my desktop setup to easily link my USB hub, HDMI 4k monitor and sd card.

I have been looking for an type-c adapter with a reasonable size at a reasonable price until I came across this one... I love the color and look. It has all the ports that I need and it is still small enough without taking much space on my desktop

I still wish these USB C hubs were less expensive, but this one provides you with just about every feature you could need. My favorite thing about this hub is the ethernet port, it is able to include one without being a bulky hub. The hub is still able to maintain a very compact, lightweight form factor, making it great for traveling and every day use.The build quality is also very solid, being made out of aluminum. This gives it a very solid feel and look, and also makes it seem like it will last for a long time.The only thing I don't love is the large 'Ansbell' logo on the top; it's not terrible but in my opinion it does take a bit away from the aesthetic.

This hub does exactly what it's supposed to, nice product, fits tight in laptop. I can charge phone & other items. It's compact/good for travel. My IPAD doesn't charge using this. But not because the hub isn't working, After doing research I learned that IPADs may not charge through hubs, due to the power it draws, or something like that.l This hub is a good value for the price.

This travel adapter is a godsend for those of us with smaller laptops that only have a USB-C port. My XPS 13 is one of those. With this adpater, I can still keep my travel bag light and have a full array of functionality on my system. Multiple charging full size USB ports mean I can charge my headphones, smartwatch, and cell phone at the same time as I charge my laptop - and all from one outlet.The adapter is high quality, lightweight and excellent for travel.

This for me was a must-have to allow me to connect with a host of peripherals when I upgraded to a Mac Pro. Matches the space grey color; works on either side of my Mac. Plugs in very securely. Every peripheral I was previously using works. I bit pricey, but solid.

Perfect as long as all the plug-ins continue to work. The minute one doesn't work, I'm updating this. Little thick (not overly so), but I guess that can be expected for having usb cables and the hdmi. Wish they could slim it a little more and make it a little more stable.

I purchased this particular hub as it has 2 HDMI outputs. There are other similar hubs with 1 HDMI port for less money.If you only need to output to a single external display, then this dock is really well built, good colour match to the MBP and has a good number of connections.HOWEVER - If you need to connect this to 2 monitors, this hub can only mirror the displays, and they cannot be used as 2 individual monitors.Under MacOS, 2 HDMI monitors just appear as one, so there's nothing you can do to extend, and you can't even have 2 different resolution monitors.

Second review of this piece of kit, it works well but gets a bit warm, I suspect this is due to the amount of data that is being transferred through it, USB C power for the laptop, HDMI for external 1440 monitor, ethernet, external drive USB 3 connected, 4 items transfering a lot of data seamlessly.I marked this 4 stars last review I now up it to 5 stars as I have had reassurance from the manufacturer that (as I thought) heat is normal and the device is covered for 3 years against mechanical failure, I look forward to daily use for as long as I will need it.I like this adapter, it looks smart and works well.

This does the job very well and in style !! and offers fast speeds and can charge my Macbook Pro at the rate that it normally charges (80W).The built quality is excellent! it is a very well built adapter unlike many cheap ones that you can find online. It is very small and compact and can be carried with you anywhere. In my opinion having 2 HDMI ports is a huge benefit since I can now connect my MacBook Pro with 2 monitors at the same time.The USB ports offer very high speed transfers which I was very happy about since I didn't want to lose the advantage of my MacBook Pro which is the transfer speeds.Everything works as advertised. The color matches great with my Space Grey MacBook Pro, and it offer a great variety of ports that are missing from many laptops these days especially the new MacBook Pro.For those who don't want to break the bank for a USB-C adapter but want one which is of very high quality and functions as advertised, I highly recommend this one.

I upgraded my MacBook Pro from a 2014 model to a 2018 model and lost the use of all my handy Thunderbolt adapters. So needed a USB-C hub and this device ticked all the boxes. It has Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C Power-Pass through, 3 x USB, HDMI, SD and Micro SD card reader. Performance of the device is great, I've had no issues. I did test the Gigabit ethernet with an iperf server I run locally and was getting around 940 Mb/s, which is almost perfect.The only downsides are:1) It gets hot. Even hotter if you plug your MacBook Pro USB-C charger cable into the USB-C port. So I generally don't plug it into the hub to keep it cool.2) It's a little messy with all the cables connecting to the hub, just a reality of the device I suppose3) You cannot plug a USB-C display into the USB-C port. So I have a monitor with a DisplayPort connection which turns into a USB-C connection. If I plug it directly into the MacBook Pro, it works perfectly. If I plug it into the hub, it doesn't work. I think this is by design of USB-C and Alt Mode, but if it had worked, I could of gotten all my connections to my MacBook Pro down to one cable, which is the dream of course.Those points aside, works great and would buy a replacement if I ever needed one.

This is a brilliant USB-C dongle. I use it at work with my Lenovo ThinkPad and run a USB hub off of it, have ethernet and a monitor connected to it which all just now plug into one port on my laptop and work just as well as when I had them plugged directly into the dedicated ports on the device.I have tried this with my phone and it works with that too and outputs the display onto my monitor allowing me to use my keyboard and mouse with my phone (Huawei Mate 20 Pro). The phone also had a "desktop mode" which this adapter supports.The build quality is second to none - the housing is metal and the cable to the laptop is nice and thick. Personally for me though, I'd prefer it if the cable was a little longer.I highly recommend this!
