5.11 RUSH MOAB 10 Tactical Sling Pack Backpack, Style 56964, Black

So my review will be based off of using it as an every day carry so if that's what you're looking for, I hope this helps. I've been looking for a sling bag that wasn't the size of a fanny pack and not quite the size of a backpack. (Very hard to find apparently). I'll update this review after about a week of use but I want to note it as I go along. First impressions: Very good quality nylon. Seems just about if not more well built than my Osprey backpack. There is a good amount of space to start off with and there's always the MOLLE system if you need a bit more. For an EDC I think there's plenty of space and the pockets/organization seems to line up with my needs pretty well, but there's always something that ends up in the main compartment (which is perfectly fine. IMO that's what a bag is for...when you need help carrying something. Which is why a fanny pack size bag doesn't work for me) I'll add pictures after I get a feel for the bag in a few days and get it set up the way I like. Update (1 week later) I really like this bag. Solid construction, versatile options and the ability to customize. The admin pockets offer a multitude of configurations for however you plan to use it. It has a decent mix of directional use for if you wear it lefty or right so it doesn't favor 1 side over the other...well thought out. The size is perfect, I wanted something that can carry my every day essentials but with space for of I grab something at the store....check. The MOLLE system is great. I quickly realized I needed an option to hold my phone and a decent size water bottle (hydration pouch doesn't work for my needs). I bought 2 attachments and it is now almost perfect for me. The down side: the sling. Probably the only thing I'm not a fan of on this bag. The comms pouch is basically that. It was designed for a radio mic and that's about it. With that, just like most officers wear them, the placement is on the upper shoulder. My thoughts are if the whole bag offers MOLLE and it's going to be marketed to civilians as well, it should be detachable. The only thing I could think to use it for was to hold my keys for easy grab. The other problem is the sling in general. It has A LOT of slack. This is good for guys my size but it has 1 holder for all the excess and it slides very easily. To that point, with the comms pouch being so high and the amount of slack, the pouch rests basically on my neck and pushing against my beard. I tried to adjust it but because it can be worn on either side I guess it has to favor the middle a bit more than others. Is it a deal breaker?... No. Not for all the other customizing and quality it offers. I promised pictures for a better idea of the bag but tbh, there are a few reviews on Amazon that really show it off well so I'll leave that to the professionals. I'll still rate it 5 stars because there's nothing close to this that I was able to find. Worth the purchase and to look at all of the MOLLE accessories.

Great bag, heavily built and solid, not a thing to complain about. I've had a bunch of bags/packs, the majority were no name off brand ones. Many were garbage that began to fall apart within weeks to months. The last one I had before this was similar to the Condor brand 2 strap type that is the same size as this bag, I don't remember who made it. It's held up for about 3 years but that's with medium to light use and it's showing it's age. I thought it was a great bag and it is a good one for the price, I think I gave about $30 for it at the time. This bag though is much better in all aspects but price, however quality costs money. The 10 just shows what a good bag really is and until you actually get a hold of one in person you have no idea. The material is thicker, stitching is better, buckles are better and the zippers are amazingly great. The inner pockets are as tough as the outside, most cheap bags have thin pockets and the divider between compartments is thin as well. The pockets and organization in this bag is just laid out perfectly, everything just has a place to go. Is there room for improvement, sure, as everybody carries different things but this is the first bag that kept me from immediately thinking I needed an external pouch for something. I'm 5'6" and 140lbs, the bag carries comfortably and isn't too small or large. I have loaded it up to a weight of 25lbs. to see where it becomes uncomfortable. I'd say 25 is doable on a short trip but for hiking or long walking travel I'd say 15 is about max. This is reasonable as generally you shouldn't expect a bag that's over 10%-15% your body weight to be comfortable for long time frames. This of course depends on you fitness level and such, some may be more and others less. This bag can easily be over packed due to it's size and being a single strap can make it more uncomfortable quicker. If you're the type of person who carries a lot and it's heavier stuff, get a 2 strap. If you just carry minimal or light things, this is perfect. I mainly carry a small 1st aid kit, a book, notepad, chromebook and a hand gun. I do also have a few 'survival supplies but they are small and light. The main weight I carry is my son's supplies, he's 10 and special needs. I carry some diapers, wipes, spare clothing, feeding bag, couple of boxes of Peptamin JR (his formula). I may on occasion carry more if it's a overnight hospital stay, mainly supplies for me. It holds all this plus has plenty of room for more and considering I'm not doing a lot of walking, I don't see the single strap as bad. I'm happy with my choice as a long trip or overnight bag. I will say for short trips and such, I'll still carry my Maxpedition Remora more often and that's due to size, it fits nicely on his wheel chair. Then again the 10 may become my me bag and the Remora more of his bag. In our situation one small and one medium bag is much easier to manage than one large bag, as they drag on the wheels of his chair. This is a great edc, camping and duty bag, It would also make a great diaper bag for those who want something a little different, especially since it holds a hydration bladder. It is high at $100 but honestly worth the price in my opinion just based on the quality of what you receive.

Tellement séduit, j’ai acheté le modèle Moab 6 en double : un pour moi et un pour ma femme pour une utilisation quotidienne. Je le recommande vivement, vous pouvez l’acheter les yeux fermés. PS : J’utilise principalement ce sac pour le travail et je peux y ranger sans problème mon MacBook Pro 2023 14" avec une housse antichoc Inateck de 13,3 pouces, compatible avec le MacBook 14". Je l’utilise également pour transporter un iPad mini avec une housse antichoc, et tout rentre parfaitement.

たすき掛けで掛けるバッグ。ベルトや各ポケットのファスナー含めてかなり頑丈な印象を受け、この点は心強く感じる。もちろん、生地自体も良いようで、ペラペラなものでは決してない。 また、バッグそのものの重量もあるにはあるが、掛けてみると不思議と重さは感じない。動いても、ベルトやバッグそのものがずれてくるといった事は無い。 内容量はメインのコンパートメント含めかなりある。メインコンパートメントなら、厚さ2cm程度のA4のサイズのクリアケースは充分収納可能でもある（個人的には、この点はかなり良かった）。 不満、という事ではないが、Molleシステムに関連するベルトが本商品には付属するが、この使い方がいまいち分からない。この点は、現状ではやや歯痒い。 まあそれはともかくとしても、別メーカーのタクティカルギアを購入しようと思っていた時にこちらを購入したのだが、思いがけず良い商品を手にすることができた。星5つ。

This bag is the first bag I go to if I want a smallish bag to carry my "Geek Toys". The main compartment is just big enough for a 15" Macbook Pro Retina and an I-pad is the perfect size for either the front compartment or the hydration space next to the back. Mobile phones can either fit into the small pocket on the strap (my Galaxy Note just fits in so most other phones shouldn't have a problem) or into the fleece lined "sun glasses" pocket. The main compartment is deep enough for a DSLR and the multitude of pockets and dividing spaces means it is childsplay to find the accessory you want. The bag is very comfortable (even with all the items above in it) and if you shorten the shoulder strap, it is possible to carry it over 1 shoulder. This bag really comes into its own when travelling and a quick pull of the strap means that everything is right in front of you and accessible.

Nach der Nutzung von diversen Rucksäcken und Abstechern zu den Messenger Bags , war ich wieder mal auf der Suche nach einer besseren EDC-Lösung. Die Rucksäcke waren mir beim häufigeren Auf- u. Absetzen zu umständlich, die Messenger Bags mit wenig bepackt zu schlabbrig und im vollen Zustand zu unbequem. Bin dann auf die Gearslinger/Slingbags von Maxpedition u. 5.11 Tactical gestoßen. Der Hintergrund aus dem Militär- u. Sicherheitsbereich versprach praktische und durchdachte Lösungen sowie eine stabile Qualität. Hinzu kommen die flexiblen Erweiterungsmöglichkeiten durch das Molle-System. Nach dem Studium von diversen Tests u. Rezensionen entschied ich mich für den Rush Moab 10. Ausschlaggebend war die beidseitige Nutzungsmöglichkeit, nicht zu vergessen der Preisvorteil zu Maxpedition und in Schwarz sieht er auch Zivil genug für die Stadt aus. Nach längerer täglicher Nutzung, sowohl privat als auch beruflich, kann ich mittlerweile ein relativ fundiertes Urteil abgeben. Der Rush Moab 10 machte nach dem Auspacken sofort einen überzeugenden Eindruck. Material und Verarbeitung sind über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Nicht der geringste Mangel zu entdecken. Als Motorradfahrer habe ich schon einige Rucksäcke verschlissen. Der Rush Moab 10 gehört bei der Qualität mit zum Besten. Das Material hat die richtige Balance zwischen Stabilität und Flexibilität. Dafür muss man dann aber auch ein höheres Eigengewicht in Kauf nehmen. Auch die Reißverschlüsse sind vom Feinsten. Laufen fast von alleine. Die Größe ist für einen Tagesausflug perfekt. Man kann ja auch einiges außen befestigen. Taschen und Befestigungsmöglichkeiten sind genügend vorhanden. An der Unterseite kann man zum Beispiel wunderbar eine Decke, Plane o. die Jacke befestigen. Wobei dann allerdings das Abstellen im Dreck zu Problemen führt. Alle Möglichkeiten zu beschreiben, wäre zu mühsam. Da sollte man sich die im Internet genügend vorhandenen Bilder und Videorezensionen ansehen. Meine täglich mitgeführten Sachen haben alle einen sicheren und gut zugänglichen Platz gefunden und nichts fällt durcheinander und übereinander (und da lästert man immer über Frauen u. ihre Handtaschen). Wenn notwendig ist dann auch noch genügend Luft für die eine oder andere Klamotte, Zeitung, Buch, A4-Hefter, einen kleineren Laptop und nicht zu vergessen das optionale Trinksystem. Durch die weit zu öffnenden Fächer ist der Zugang sehr gut. Die optimale Verteilung/Nutzung stellt sich dann mit der Zeit ein. Der Rush Moab sitzt satt und bequem. Die Auflageflächen sind gut gepolstert. Lediglich das Schulterpolster könnte nach meinen Geschmack etwas länger sein. Der Gurtverschluss sitzt im Bereich Schlüsselbein und durch den massiven Verschluss kann es dort bei leichter Kleidung zu einem leichten Druckgefühl kommen. Wird allerdings nicht unangenehm. Mit einer Verlängerung des Schultergurtes würde der Verschluss von Vornherein tiefer sitzen. Bei schwerer Beladung und längerer Trageweise macht sich natürlich der Nachteil der einseitigen Last bemerkbar. Hier bestehen systembedingt Nachteile gegenüber einem Rucksack. Aber der Rush Moab sitzt immer noch besser als eine Umhänge-/Kuriertasche, da die Last mehr auf dem Rücken liegt. Ein guter Kompromiss. Man kann ihn sowohl lockerer tragen, aber der Schultergurt lässt sich auch ruckzuck für einen festeren Sitz anziehen. Wenn man Waffenträger ist, macht sich der Rush Moab auch hier gut. Das verdeckte Pistolenfach bietet einen einfachen und relativ schnellen Zugriff. Einfach auf Seiten der Führungshand nach vorne ziehen und reingreifen. So braucht man das Teil nicht unbedingt den ganzen Tag an der Hüfte rumschleppen. Und wem der schwarze Rucksack zu langweilig erscheint, kann noch ein paar Patches auf den Klettflächen verteilen. Habe mir noch ein paar Grimloc besorgt, da kann man noch mal schnell was Außen anhängen. PS: Für längere Motorradtouren im Regen dürfte der Rush Moab auf Grund der fehlenden Regenhülle nicht geeignet sein. Konnte es zwar noch nicht testen, aber meiner Erfahrung nach ist hier die Wasserfestigkeit des verwendeten Nylons und der Reißverschlüsse nicht ausreichend. Wer schon mal eine mehrstündige Regenfahrt hinter sich gebracht hat, der weiß das. Ist man fußläufig oder per Fahrrad unterwegs, sind normale Regenschauer kein Problem. Beim Radfahren rutscht der Rush Moab mit der Zeit nach vorne, also auch nicht optimal. Als Daypack von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Alles in allen top Ware, sowohl für berufliche, als auch private Nutzung. Gut zu tragen, schnell auf- und abzusetzen, flexible Nutzung u. schneller Zugriff. Bin am überlegen, ob ich mir noch die kleinere Version beschaffe. Und ich habe den Verdacht, der Rush Moab dürfte länger halten, als alle meine anderen Rucksäcke und Taschen zusammen.
