Simple enough
Used this product to repair Lazyboy executive office chair. The seat had a couple cracks that had expanded enough that the leather or leather like material had worn away from the backing. Had cracks across the front of seat but were not really noticeable and some wear areas on the arm rests. The product was simple enough to use. Came with instructions, color chart for mixing, and contact info if support was needed. The company even contact me via email before product arrived to convey they were there to advise and answer any questions I had concerning use of the product. Before purchasing this product, the biggest complaint about other products of this nature was that there was never enough of the color they needed. I guess peoples that complain planned on resurfacing entire living room set with one stock color tube. This is not the case with this product, I probably have enough left over to do the entire chair a couple times. Start out squirting the base color in the mixing cup, then add the corresponding tint colors until the color matches. I got it close on first try, and by that I mean close enough to mend the damaged area before it became a tear. I used the spatula and started applying as instructed, outer edges first toward the middle of damaged area. Let it dry and reapply. After two coats were dry, smoothed out with alcohol and cotton ball. I was pleased with the color blend, but felt it needed a touch of red, which I I didn't have in the brown kit. No worries, just needed it mended to sit on. I tried several different cotton pad, balls, microfiber lens cloths to smooth with. The cotton ball did the best. The more you smooth, the more layers it takes away, and if your a perfectionist, you end up taking too much away and realize there is so much mix left over to go with another layer. This time since the basic mend was accomplished this coat was more for blending purposes. I tried using a plastic razor blade to apply much like you would use spackle or drywall mud. Do a bigger area in one clean swipe. I was pleased with the color match and coverage, but still had lot of left over in mixing cup, so I attacked the cracked areas and arm rests. This stage I used the included brush. Brush was easy to apply, and quickly covered much larger area as well as much more detail in between stitching. I still had lots left in mixing cup, so I gave everything a second coat. Then smoothed with cotton and alcohol. Pleased with color match and coverage, fixed ever minute detail I could find on chair, so went for one last coat to run out what I had mixed. I could have left it at that, but the perfectionist in me kept wanting to do more. While smoothing an area just out of my targeted mend area loosened up and I picked at it to created a new area needed mending. My fault completely, I kept rubbing the alcohol swab across to blend the entire seat with the mended area. I went back to the beginning, except this time used used my experience to make it quick. Started mixing amount I need with the tint color then adding base color. Got close to color match in my case quicker making mix darker rather than making dark lighter as I did on first batch. I used the spatula outside in, then second coat using spatula feathered it as smooth as possible. Didn't get carried away with smoothing and called it good enough. Didn't match as good as first mix, but you can't tell chair has been repaired unless you stick your face right up close. Conclusion: Product well worth $20, SIMPLE to use and customer service is there if you require. Target areas are repaired, self inflicted damage repaired. Lots of spider cracking repaired, arm rests are repaired. Looks nearly new and I should have enough product left to repair this old chair well beyond the expected life of the cushions. I'd buy this product again, if/when i ever run out of compound. I didn't touch the chocolate or white tubes and not much of what I did use. I would recommend buying the universal kit for small repairs just because I still feel a touch of red would have made it exact match.

Great product
Terrific product. As you can see the damage was on a seam (bad) where no one sits (good). Used the included color chart to do a fair job of matching color. (Chocolate and Black 50/50). Had a question for them and got a quick response. FYI. There is no glue in the kit so I purchased the Locktite vinyl glue. Repairs went as follows. Trimed the white fluff until it didn't stick out around the edges of the tear. Then put couple layers of the vinyl repair along the edge of the tear where the torn flap would no longer cover so that when I laid the flap down there would be no white showing. After 3 thin layers of the product (letting dry 4-5 hours between but it probably dried faster) I glued the flap down using a toothpick to get a thin layer of glue way back past the tear and up to the edges. I used painter's tape to tack down the flap overnight. Since the edge of the flap set higher than the 3 thin layers of the repair product, I used the tiny enclosed "spackle" tool. To apply a final round of the product and level (on a teeny tiny scale) it against the edge of the flap - same as I would a drywall repair. Love the color match. Love the ease of application. Love the tiny spackle tool. Loved this product overall. I only have 2 complaints. I would have preferred a full sized brush. My fat fingers could barely hold it And the repair would have been perfect had there been some way to apply a similar texture to the surrounding area. The smoothness stands out a bit more than it had to. Tried to dapple it a bit but it self-leveled.. Something I normally applaud. Lol. Overall very easy to work with. Love the final result. Will buy again if needed. But they were very generous with their product. Also a plus. Oh the cats? They supervised.

Works great
Don’t think about the color. I didn’t try that hard. The fabric is for holes like the ones I had. You put them under… hey there is a good video to help you can watch. It’s thick not smelly and doesn’t take long to dry. The thick spots I let dry for a day . It’s so worth the money. I still have more for different colors.

A-MAZING product! EXCELLENT Customer Service!
This repair kit is AMAZING! After traveling 2 years full time in our RV with 2 young boys the wear and tear on my vinyl dinette seats and couch was starting to look pretty bad. I had bought seat covers for the dinette set for $60 and tried to cover up the couch with pillows and blankets. Some how I came across Coconix and decided for less than $20 it was worth the try. So, I started on a small inconspicuous area. I let it dry for 30 minutes, went back, I couldn't find it!! WOW!! It's magical!! So, I proceeded to continue and ended up repairing the whole entire couch. It looks so GOOD!! After such success on the couch I decided I would try the dinette benches. We can't even tell that the vinyl had been completely rubbed off the center of the bench!! In the pictures, I only repaired half of the bench in order to get a true side by side. I need to redo the coloring because I thought the dinette was the same color as the couch, but they are not. Really easy to use and apply with the spatula. We're Impressed with the outcome and so excited that I can now remove the ugly seat covers and go back to the nice camel brown color of our dinette. The pictures are not of the finished work yet. I was just so excited at the results so far, I just had to leave a review. Customer Service has been really great as well. I reached out with a question and they responded quickly and thoroughly! Definitely Highly recommend!! 10⭐!!

Don’t be worried, just buy this!
I’m incredibly impressed with this product! Our dog is the goodest boy, but he likes to chew bones and the friction on the couch tore and feathered the material on our faux leather couch where he lays. I ordered this feeling hesitant but hopeful, and these are my results! The color mixing was straightforward and the product was easy to work with. I highly recommend patience and doing a few layers. I took the afternoon and applied 3 separate layers, letting it dry in between. The little spatula applied the product well and then I folded some Saran Wrap into a little rectangle and blotted over it to add texture. Very happy with my results. I can’t speak to longevity yet, but from an esthetics stand point it looks 100x better than before! Is it absolutely perfect? No! But as a quick fix without replacing a whole couch or having it look all torn up, it is worth it! And the value for the kit you can use over and over is great also. Highly recommend!

Follow directions and take it slow. Worth the price.
Item arrived as described with no issues. All items listed in the ad were in the box. I’m going to keep this short. Pictures say a lot more than I can. My best advice is to; follow the directions, take it slow test color and your skills on a spot that you don’t see, or won’t be noticed. Once you feel comfortable the repair is fairly easy. Again, follow the directions, especially the part remove any loose material because that will get in the way. It seems like he would want to keep that material, however, do not. It is easy to clean up. It appears durable and should hold up to repair use depending on the area and thickness of application. Depending on thickness, it dries in roughly 30 minutes. Some repairs may require additional applications. Once it’s dried, you can smooth it fairly easily with alcohol. I would recommend this product to others. It a good quality product and easy to use.
