My youngest cat loves this. He's a sucker for feathers. Initially, I didn't like the fact that the string to which the feathers are attached is elastic. Makes for unpredictable flinging on my part. However, my boy Wash loves the elastic string. Mostly because that means he can catch the feathers in his mouth, carry it as far away from me as he can go, and then let it loose and it flies back at me. Since he loves it, I love it! My middle cat also likes it but treats it differently. Mouse will jump up to catch it with his paws and then roll on the floor. He never carries it like Wash does. Having two cats playing with the feathers, they don't stay in good shape for very long. But they will play with it even if the feathers don't fly well after being chewed on.

These come so nicely packaged - in a round substantially made cardboard tube and each one is individually wrapped. They look great coming out of the box. The problem starts when my two Ragdolls start to play. The feathers seem to fall off in just two play sessions of about 15 minutes. Tried to stick it securely back down in the base, but it just comes straight back out and would not use any blue because of possible toxic issues. Very disappointed because can just tell from how carefully packaged everything is and the quality of the feathers, it is a quality product. Just wish they could fix the problem with the feathers coming out with just minimal play. Had the DaBird that has only 1-2 feathers, but it lasts for weeks and weeks and numerous play sessions. Sadly, guess we will have to go back to that one unless the company can make some kind of adjustment to these to fix the problem.

price is lower than the original Go cat Dabird , but their string are not as good because it is a bungee kind and it is more difficult to play with the cats who catch it more easily, and also harder to have them release it once they catch it. I prefer to pay more for a better product like the original Go cat Dabird . Their string are made of a non stretchable strong nylon and their feather last longer. I thought I was getting a better product with 5 Pack Ultra Goose Feather Super Refill while being cheaper. But i will go back to the original Go cat Dabird next time !!

My cats love the feather refill. They are a decent size and very durable. The attachment end did not match the end of the wand that I already had but it was easy to modify it to work with my current wand. It twirls through the air when you swing it around and the cats stalk it like it's a real bird. Will definitely be buying these again!

6-24-14, This Special Real Fun Cat Toy of Goose Feathers has really made (Frannie) our cat have a New experience of Excitement and has inspired her to get a little more exercise in once in awhile. Frannie is 12 years old and at times has a Shorter play time than a younger cat. But does get excited when we bring this out for awhile. We don't leave this out because she wants to bite it and get the feathers off. The shipping was only (4) days, and the product is perfect. Fun toy for the my cats. Only complaint is the metal attachment part. My one cat chipped her canine tooth on it. I made a plastic cap to fit over it and she likes that better because it gives her something else to chew on. They need to rethink the metal on a toy that's designed for hunting.

These are truly the best "birdies" our Maine Coons have ever had the opportunity to chase. Very full and colorful and they "fly" through the air very realistically as you move the pole. They practically beg me to play with them all day long, as soon as they catch their breath from the previous session. I have to keep them in a closet, as up on the hutch was too easy for them to get to. When they see me head for that part of the house, they run in front of me to guide me to closet. BEST EVER!!
