Murder mystery game—find who the killer is, where the murder took place and what weapon was used before the murderer strikes again and get away.Box includes:•Game board•Double sided suspect cards (Suspicious side or Honest side)• Double sided Weapon tokens•Instruction booklet•PencilLike:•Alexa app storytelling to set the mood and background story•Alexa tutorial to ease the learning of the game•Character interaction with players via questioning on Alexa app•Character acting on the Alexa App•Game board and game item designsDislike:•There is one strategy that can be use in the game to find the murderer—find out who is lying. After that, figuring out what weapon is in what location is not needed•Players can skip almost all dialog by disrupting Alexa by going straight to questioning suspects. As a result, you don’t get any background story.•Players can simply ask 2 questions, throughout the game, to the suspects—where they were and who was at the location next to them and if the suspect is lying of where they were—that is most likely the murderer.•Game box is thick but mostly wasted spaceOverall:•This game is for a simple fun family/friend game night. Not too difficult to start with. To really enjoy the game, players should listen to the story and ask verity of questions to get immersed in the game.•The game doesn’t have anything that really sticks out but since it is an app based game, it can improve in difficulty level and better stories•With that it gets 3/5 stars for an average board game rating.

Storyline needs improvement
I thought this game would be more complex in the storyline. Like clue but more storytelling and interacting. Finding the murder weapon doesn't help solve the case. I think the developers need to intergrate the weapons better.. I haven't been able to master finding the killer in less than 5 days so a second person always get killed. Which is really frustrating. I could see it happening half of the time but it's everytime. You don't have any leads to start but the type of murder weapon to start so you have to randomly pick a person and try to find a liar.. maybe give another clue on the body that might help pin down a location or something. Alexa keeps repeating stories about characters. I think there should be a cheat sheet in the box to describe them instead and Alexa should focus on the storyline for that particular game of where they were on the night of the murder. It is a beautiful and high quality looking game though. I just hope the developers decide to upgrade the game at point. It would be a lot more funny with a few more tweaks.

St. Noire: A Game Changer—- a Unique, Fun, Innovative, Entertaining Game
This game exceeded my expectations as well as my hard core board gamer husband‘s. We thought it would be a cute party game and a novelty item—but not much more. However, we were both pleasantly surprised that it actually has a very unique niche place in our huge game collection. It’s a great game for when you want a challenge, but don’t want to play an hours’ long murder mystery game like Sherlock Holmes or Detective Of Modern Crime and similar games. The strategy involved is different from other deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning games as well. It uses both deductive reasoning and spatial thinking skills. The game is very beautiful, nicely packaged, very entertaining, and fun. We have hundreds of board games—some very expensive, and I will say for the high quality of the game and the low price I paid—St. Noire is an absolute steal of a deal. I highly recommend anyone who has an Alexa and loves board games to buy St. Noire. I truly hope to see more Alexa- based board games! St. Noire is, literally, a Game Changer!

Just ok.
This isn’t a traditional multiplayer board game. All the people in the room make decisions together about the next question to ask Alexa (suspect to question or location to examine) and try to come up with the killer in 21 questions or less (each “night” is three questions). It’s sort of a mix between an Escape Room and the board game Clue. I’ve only guessed the correct killer once. I’m not sure how to get there in 21 questions or less with 12 locations and 12 suspects and each suspect knowing who was at as many as three different locations. I understand that you only “win” if you guess in 21 but I do wish there was an option for playing after losing. Like, let me keep asking questions, don’t just tell me I’m wrong and that the killer confessed from Mexico. It’s not like there’s a prize. As far as the Alexa integration, it needs some improvement. Sometimes I’ll say “Alexa examine the book store” and an Echo device in another room will give me the definition of book store and some times the Alexa we’re playing on crashes the game and you have to ask it to open the skill again. Thankfully it doesn’t lose your place.

Great price - could use a FAQ.
Got a great price. First time tried though Alexa glitched before we got the verdict. Could use a FAQ to help with navigation back to a a known place. After the second game we nailed the culprit which was satisfying.

One Person Can Play!
I bought this because I wanted a game I could play by myself. I love it! It sets a scene and it plays a bit like Clue. I gave it 4 stars on Alexis because I would have to repeat myself but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the game

Great to play at get-togethers!
I loved playing this game! I was looking for a game for a friend of mine for his birthday and stumbled across this game, and had no clue that there were games made for Alexa. So knowing that my friend had an Alexa, we both love mystery/ investigative games, I decided to buy it. It is so cool! When we're playing with our other friends, we had no idea how it worked but Alexa walks you through on how the rules work and how easy it is to play with everyone. We would go around the room and take turns to investigate murders, and talk with suspects (which were all voiced by different people- creating an even better immersion experience), and checking places on the board. One of the interesting games we've played and would recommend anyone to buy this game if you love mystery and investigation type games with added audio effects!
