Zeds to Zees: another alphabet book
This title was a disappointment. I expected magic from the hands of David Hawcock but received cliche. First of all, why display Upper and lower case letters as part of the title if only Upper case letters would be displayed within the book? Perhaps a child could find the lower case letters but I could not. The title should have read: A to Zed: A Pop-Up Alphabet. Secondly, by not using two full pages per letter we are exposed to the innards of the book, where all the detritus of these cutout letters is so be seen and it is unattractive. Third, there really isn't an original display of each letter; we have seen letters popped out this way, many a time in the past. Lastly, the size of the book, length and breadth, is easy enough for a child to hold, but the thickness of the book is too much for a child to handle. I was looking forward to this title quite a bit, but I remain underwhelmed with the final product.

Incredibly boring
Talk about a disappointment. I ordered this 3 months ahead of time when I saw it was going to be released in the Spring. It was scheduled for May but came a couple months early. I was pretty excited to show the book to my 16 month-old daughter. The book is literally just pop-up letters. One page for each letter. There are no images of words that begin with each letter. No listing of words that begin with each letter. No colors anywhere. We will likely try to buy stickers to apply to the particular pages in order to salvage such a waste of a learning tool. What could have been an amazing and fun learning tool was lost. Try harder next time, David Hawcock.

Two Stars
I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the paper and the cut outs of the letters.

Disappointed
Very disappointed. It didn't meet my expectations at all. I feel as if I wasted my money.

OK but.....
This is a nice, stylized pop up book with letters that will appeal to older children and adults but probably not toddlers. If you collect this type of material this is a must purchase otherwise there are better A-B-C books out there for the younger set!
