VPG 40525 Guard Soil Activator Fertilizer, 40-Pound

My grass was yellowed and bare in a certain area of the lawn where there's more shade. The landscaper told me it was a fungus. I applied the soil activator to this area (and my entire lawn) and - WOW! The fungus is gone and the grass is growing over the bare spots. It's springtime and the grass is growing great everywhere, but this particular area has always had trouble. I plan to apply it again in the Fall. The landscaper said to apply it twice each year for a few years to correct the soil. The real test will be next season. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fungus won't return.

We like the fact that this activator is a "multi vitamin" for the soil. We put it on our lawn that had struggled all summer long with hot conditions and a huge grub problem, which killed large areas of grass. After the application the grass started to slowly green up and is now the dead spots have come back. Great vitamin treatment.
