Flower Fairies Friends: Fairy Whispers Hardcover – January 1, 2006

I was looking for pop-up type fairy books to read with my 3 year old great granddaughter. We had recently found one at a local bookstore, she loved it and we were hooked! So when the description for this book said it has some pop up or hidden door type features, I placed an order. With this book I also ordered, Cicely Mary Barkers' "HOW TO FIND FLOWER FAIRIES". There is no comparison between the two. FAIRY WHISPERS is more of a story book and my great grand was just not interested. No cool doors or pop up features and the story was just not that interesting. I returned this book for credit and we will be looking for more like "HOW TO FIND FLOWER FAIRIES", which has awesome pop ups and hidden doors and is really fun to read with my great granddaughter. She wants to read it every night before bed. This ones' a keeper!

This is an exquisite book. I bought it for my granddaughter. The plot is simple, with a lovely sweet ending. But the art work is superb - enough to make any little girl quiver with excitement. There are cut-outs through which you can see glimpses of the next page. There are sparkles. And, of course, Mary Cicely Barker's fairies are true to form, drawn with delicacy and love. For my 7-year-ole granddaughter, this book is a treasure.

Lovely book. I bought the pop up book last Christmas for my granddaughter and she still looks at it serval times every week at bedtime. I think she will really enjoy this one. It is not a pop-up, but does have cut outs that show fairies from the next page or other pictures. I just love the art work and plan to buy more.

This is a perfect first flower fairies story. My almost 3 year old received this and the complete flower fairies book for Christmas. This one she can look at without me worrying she is going to destroy it, it is a lovely story and the illustrations are just beautiful. Highly recommended.

Compared to How to Find Flower Fairies & Fairyopolis this is a disappointment. It's small, it has a few cut outs but no pop ups, and quite a few pages are dark & difficult to read. I won't mind if this one gets colored in.

This is such a cute book, in great codition. I've been getting into angels, fairys and sun,moon and stars. I,m on a transplant list and I find this stuff makes me fell safe and looked after.;plus looking at this book makes me feel all warm inside, and like alittle girl. thank-you

Beautiful book so pretty

Drawings are scrumptious...not a lot of reading matter butdefinitely good value...purchased ready for christmas socan't yet comment on whether 7 year old recipient is going to agree withmy review,

Lovely illustrations and good quality presentation. Just as I remember the flower fairies as a child. My niece loved it.
