Paleo Protein Bar (20g Protein)(Variety Pack 7 Bars) Low Carb w/ 2g Sugar

The first flavor I tried was glazed donut and I immediately spit the salty, chemical tasting, tongue violator out. I thought that this was an unusual flavor and maybe that is why it was so bad so maybe I'd try a more conventional flavor like chocolate. Chocolate brownie was a little bit better but still tasted like a salty chemical assault to my tongue. I was able to palate the cinnamon roll flavor until the texture and after taste got to me. I will not be trying the other flavors.I know where the 5 star reviews are coming from. The box informed me that I would receive 6 free bars if I simply wrote a 5 star Amazon review.Sorry, I'm not a liar and I don't endorse crap.

I ordered a box of these last week and just tried one. I rarely ever write reviews, but I felt so compelled because wow -- I haven't tasted something this disgusting in a long time. They have this odd sour taste that just lingers. I eat extremely healthy, VERY low sugar diet. Happy with simple, healthy food. The flavor is very offensive. EW! Eat anything edible besides these bars.

like many of you considering purchasing these bars I routinely work in meal replacement bars as part of my normal routine. I also tend to eat both vegan, and paleo. Honestly I purchased these bars because of the glazed doughnut flavor.when I got my box I noticed what appeared to be oil around the box. Then when I opened the box the oil from the bars themselves had leaked outside of their protective wrapping and had coated the other bars inside the box. I quickly tried the glazed donut bar and I couldn't even get to bite out of the bar before I simply had to split the rest of it out. Absolutely one of the most disgusting flavored meal replacement bars I have ever tried, and I've tried a lot. I felt like I was eating very dry, unflavorful sunflower seeds mixed with sawdust. the bars had absolutely no taste to them and were so thick inside my mouth is it felt like I was chewing on a piece of rubber or something. I tried the mint flavor and was thoroughly disappointed in it as well. After these two strikeouts I hold no hope that the other flavors are going to be any good. Again these bars are dry, greasy, and without any flavor. As the title says I would avoid these bars at any and all cost. And speaking of cost, they are certainly not worth wasting your money on.

Lured in by Facebook Ads, I purchased my first 2 variety packs directly from the bakery & waited forever for them. I then discovered that they were available on Prime, ordered one pack and received it the next day. I excitedly tore into my glazed doughnut and almost cried when the shock of this new, indescribably unpleasant taste registered with my brain. Then, the realization hit that I had spent $60 on 18 of these funky flavored bars. I'm cheap, sensible, and pretty tolerant of bad taste so I'm determined to finish the 18 bars that I purchased... And I must say, either my taste buds have been committing suicide in a final act of defiance or the paleo bars are growing on me. I can't say they are good but I may continue to consume them as a matter of practicality and convenience. I do drink kale, raw egg, & whole lemon smoothies for breakfast so you can judge my definition of tolerable by that benchmark.I so badly wanted these bars to be as delicious as some (questionably legit) reviews say they are... Alas, they are TOLERABLE at BEST.

In my experience, taste preferences have a lot to do with whether a particular bar is liked or disliked. When first biting into one of these bars, I was convinced that it was rancid. I did try a different flavor, but noticed the same unstomacheable taste. After contacting Julian bakery, I was told that it must be my taste buds and not the bars themselves. I do not recommend Julian bakery and certainly not the paleo bars. The customer service I received was less than satisfactory.

OMG, this product and every flavor therein is horrible. I was so hoping this could be my answer to a truly all natural protein bar. The product details tout soft, chewy and delicious. Oh but that is far from true. These bars are not soft but rather firm and chalky and not at all chewy. The delicious part, I can't imagine anyone giving this that review. Simply put, these bars are outrageously expensive at over $3.00 per bar and did not even come close to good. Julian Baker, you better come up with a different recipe as this is a shocker in comparison to all your other great foods. My suggestion would be get rid of the Monk fruit sweetener and go with the Stevia. What a waste of money!!!!!

I'm a big fan of a lot of Julian Bakery's ketogenic products and these bars taste okay (just), but I've experienced repeated issues with them. When I ordered them the first time, it took over a month to receive them. They cited a broken piece of equipment as the cause, and I could let that go I guess if not for the fact that when I finally opened them a few weeks after receiving them they were moldy (other reviewers have cited the same)!The next batch I ordered arrived more quickly and I quite liked the Chocolate Mint and Cinnamon Roll varieties--really the only two with any flavor--but made sure I kept them in the refrigerator to ward off mold. I recently reordered the variety pack and received it pretty quickly, only to discover they had omitted the Chocolate Mint flavor and given me two Chocolate Brownie instead (apparently another "equipment failure" was the cause). When you pay this kind of money for a bar, you really expect to get what you order, not an undisclosed substitution, especially when what's been omitted is your favorite flavor!Frankly, I'm getting fed up with all of the hassles with this product, especially since the taste is mediocre at best, and have switched to another ketogenic bar that tastes better and is moister. I'd pass on these.
