Not worth the price
The plates would not even touch each other, as you can see in the picture. There's a gap in between the plates, and I was really pressing the sides. My hair would slide right through it, not even touched by the plates. The worse flat iron I've even used.

The barrel can lock to prevent burns
Heats up quickly. It’s manual on the barrel so includes a heat glove which is great! Comes with a lot of cool extras! You can lock the barrel so when you set the straightener down on carpet, as I tend to do when getting ready on the floor in front of my mirror, it eliminates potential burn issues!

Great one. My old one was damaging my hair. With this one my hair feels really smooth and looks silky.I really like it
