Withstands .50 caliber with ease.
Alright, so I got a Valley Ordnance XF-50 rifle (.50 caliber) about a week ago. Now, after about 5-7 rounds through it, I had such a bruised up shoulder I didn't even want to shoot it anymore. The pain and misery just took all the fun away from it. So, after I packed up for the day, I decided to not shoot it until I got a better buttstock pad. So I did some looking and came across this one and let me tell yah. It's awesome. I mean, it's very comfortable and after about 25 rounds, no bruises, pain or any indication I even was shooting any gun at all.The rifle has a MagPul PRS style stock on it and it was a bit of a tight fit to get the pad on but nothing to bad at all. Bottom line, I recommend this product to anyone who wants to have more fun with their weapon and prolong the life of their shoulder.

Very comfortable
This made my rifle way more comfortable to shoot. I shot 200 rounds in about 4 hours during training and hardly felt a thing. I had to customize the fit slightly due to the shape on my stock but that was no problem. Its a little loose but i don't find that it impacts my shooting. I don't want to shot without it now. I feel it actually improved my shooting too...probably due to the reduction in recoil. I'm a female and I like the extra comfort and not having a sore shoulder after shooting.There is a removable gel piece on the inside at the back. There is also gel on the sides that is not removable. Not sure if the gel ever needs to be replaced but being it removable it might be needed at some point.Quality is very good.

Generally a good product; very comfortable if adjusted correctly on butt stock of rifle. Does really help with recoil and stress of rapid fire practice. Wish it had been a less expensive. Free shipping always is great.

Nice craftsmanship
Very high quality materials. I haven't used it yet so I can't say anything about the durability of the stitching. It looks like it has a piece of gel inside held by a Velcro strap. It fits my shotgun well and I like how it looks.
