They fit snug and really hold up to a beating!!
I have used these at the rink for about 3 weeks and three times at a concrete skate park and I went hard and they held up. I am black and purple all over my butt and legs but these have protected my knees. My knees dont hurt and as you can see the pads have held up really well. I am super impressed by the thickness inside compared to their basic set of pads that work our really quick. I used those for a week and busted my knee so I got these on a recommendation from a derby girl. I am not at all disappointed. The only downside is something that happens with any pad. After about 4 hours in sweating and have Jean's on and have to pull them up after a collision but during the fall they are still in place. That will happen with any pads though when you sweat. I have a medium body but big calfs I got a medium and the fit really snug. I probably could have got a large. Hope this helps someone.

Derby Approved!
Im new to derby and kinda new to skating on quads (...its been FOREVER), so I wasn't really sure what to get. My derby team suggested that I not skimp on knee pads and a few girls encouraged me to buy this brand because there's plenty of cushion to fall on. They were right! Its only been 5 months but we practice on an outdoor track and these have taken a pretty good beating. I have some pretty big legs but a Large was perfect! These were definitely a great buy and Ive only had a small label on the side rip off from a pretty hard fall. Just last week my cousin saw these pads and asked me to order her a pair as well. She loads luggage on planes for AA. So far, she's had nothing but positive things to say about these. No more sore knees!

Held strong during a nasty wipeout
I took a NASTY fall the other day going downhill on a campus. I was padded up with these knee pads and some professional elbow pads. I bought these to protect my $3900 in tattoos on my leg and they held strong. Upon impact my elbow pad broke off my left arm and then I went airborne as I rolled a couple times before stopping. My left elbow is completely skinned with minimal strength and range of motion. My left hip is road rashed, and both wrists are a bit scuffed up but the knee pads held strong and tattoo is safe. So I'm happy.

Good knee protection for large adults!
FWIW: I'm a big 6'4" guy with large legs and the XL size fit me great. There is a lot of padding on these and based on other knee pads I've used for inline skating over the years, these are made right to offer my knees the protection they need. They are very adjustable with 4 sets of straps on each pad. Only issue is your knees will get hot under these pads (but less hot than a leg cast...)

Convenient to put on, and solid.
I followed the size table, and ordered the X-Large. They feel just a touch large, but better that than too small. I really like that I can put these pads on without having to take my shoes off and pull them up, and they are very solidly built. I bought these pads on the recommendation of several forum posts, and am satisfied.

Good kneepads, fit bigger than expected, velcro started to break
These are decent kneepads. They are sized a little larger than I expected, I should have ordered one size smaller. Within 4-6 months with use on average 1.5 times a week for 4 hours, the velcro is starting to rip off and they are reaching their end of life. I don't think I'll buy this brand again in hopes I can find something better, but these are a solid choice nonetheless.

Great knee protection for larger people
Let me start by saying, I am 46 years old and trying to keep up with my 13 year old on learning tricks on inline skates. My old pair of Rollerblade knee pads never really fit well and I wanted to try something new. Well, I got to fall on these bad boys a few times now and they are fantastic. They are getting a lot of scuffs but hold up very well and I have no knee pain at all from knee to ground impacts and I weigh in at 225 lbs. I highly recommend these and will be buying them again in the far future.

Would be good protection if they were a little more roomy
The pads are well made but they are very difficult to use. On the upper part there is an inner strap and an outer strap that goes over it. The inner strap is just too tight. You would have to have "chicken legs" for them to fit. I'm going to try and make them work because I've already scuffed them up. Maybe I can sew another piece of velcro onto it. It would of been nice to have a little extra room for adjustment.

Great protection, bulky
I suppose you have to have a trade off. These are exceptionally well padded knee pads which give great protection in the event of a fall. I took a heavy tumble direct to my left knee recently and did not feel a thing. Excellent for those light falls/scrapes along the ground. An even hen getting up, such a relief to put a padded knee on tarmac rather than an unpadded knee! The trade off is they are quite bulky. Takes a bit of getting used to skating with the extra bulk, however they do not prevent you straightening your leg so once you have got used to them they do not impact your skating.Velcro fastenings mean you can take the off and put on without taking your show off. The lower strap is a little short and is unfortunately not flexible (the top one has some elasticine in it) but it still reaches. I find I get very hot with these on (sweaty knees!) but then there is a lot of padding so what do I expect?I'd recommend these for the price. Particularly if you are a beginner or into something extreme, the protection outweighs the bulk. Intermediate skaters not trying anything too tricky might want something with a bit less protection and bulk.

Bit disappointed but can be fixed with a hammer.
Require customisation: the junior pads fit perfectly for the sizing however the fixing is not secure enough on small legs and is more hassle than sliding on old school pads, so my daughter had to revert to using pads with a full back on them. The internal padding design protrudes rather than securely cupping around the knee and the plastic doesn't seem to slide, so bad for knee slides on vert.Update: The padding can be fixed with the aid of a hammer. After beating the inner middle padding (quite hard) into proper shape that actually cupped the knees they now fit securely without rolling off. Changed the shape of the padding from knee)(pad to knee))pad, and then waxing up the plastic caps also helped them slide better.

Didn't fit :(
Rather bulky looking. The extra girth will definitely protect you from a fall. (Had I seen them in person first I probably would have passed and chosen something a bit more streamlined as that was what I was after.) I liked the butterfly closure method at the back but found that they fit smaller than expected. I work out and am very active so my quads are bigger than normal, so your mileage may vary. I did use the sizing chart on Triple Eight's website, but I did not find it helpful. If you are looking for some serious knee padding and can get the right size then you should be very happy with these. I returned mine and will look for something different in store that I can try on.

good injury prevention if you catch an edge or get ...
I use for coaching hockey. Comes in handy to demonstrate drills involving getting knees on the ice. Also, good injury prevention if you catch an edge or get tripped and fall. Easy to put on. Adjustable tightening Velcro is good (4 velcros for each pad - 2 to in place with comfort and 2 to tighten up the top and bottom. They fit under inline hockey pants easily. It wearing track pants, ensure that you have room to spare.

... my total inability to not fall to the ground like a total klutz
I'm a bigger girl and have found that these work very well despite fluctuating weight and my total inability to not fall to the ground like a total klutz. I would recommend them for both comfort and safety without a hesitation. They can be worn with knee gaskets for extra protection and stability if you're playing a contact sport like Roller Derby or skateboarding.

Super fast delivery. Product as expected.
Super fast delivery and the product is as expected. However note the sizing chart is accurate. That is I am a size medium in everything but according to this chart I am a large. Unfortunately I bought the medium and had to return it because it was just a little bit too small. The return was also super fast, free and hassle-free.

Great protection
The protection is really great on these. I took a star off because while the protection was great, they were way too bulky.

Be careful about the size
I received the delivery today. The product quality is very well. I like it. However, the size is too small to me. The measurement table shown on the ad did not help at all. There are no instructions regarding how to measure the size. The video is not relevant to this product at all. I have to return this product.

Good entry level knee pads
Great pads but be prepared, they fit on the small side. Overall they are comfortable and have many adjustments, but if you have large calves/knee caps be prepared to go up a size. Great entry level product for roller derby. For the best comfort, I've since upgraded to Scab pads.
