This thing is awesome. I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair that is mostly unmanageable in the mornings. I typically just shave my head because of this. I really wanted to grow my hair a little so I bought this to see if it would help. And yes it did! I turn it on a few minutes before I'm ready to brush my hair to let it warm up. Brush my hair with it and it gets all the waves and kinks right out. Leaves my hair pretty straight all day. Love this thing!

This product worked as described. And for almost 10 months my wife has used it several times a week on her short curls. The other day, however, the "bristles" started falling out! I would not buy again. I guess for the price some people will think 10 mos is a good run but I have straighteners for my long hair that are several years old! If you won't use it often it might be worth it. Like I said it worked well. But I worry now - and will be buying a different one for my wife - because I would imagine the bristles coming off exposes or increases the potential of harm happening! Just BE CAREFUL!!!
