Why did you choose this product over others?: Bought to play on family holiday and it was very good fun. Good quality of items/clues within the box. Everyone enjoyed playing it. I've since bought one of the expansions so will use that next time I'm away.

Read the reviews and decided it might be worth trying. Didn't start the first game until after 10pm on Christmas night which was probably bad timing as everyone was a bit tired and had eaten and drunk too much! However everyone aged 15 to 76 agreed it was a great game although we needed all the clues and didn't diffuse the nuclear bomb in the 60 mins allowed! Looking forward to doing better with the next game, 3 in the box.

Not the best escape rooms around, but they are not expensive at all, and you can spend three/four hours playing. Game quality is ok, quite fun. It's ok for people who play these games for the first time. Not very complex.

Absolutely loved this game, we do a lot of real escape rooms and this comes as close as you can get to the real thing. the chrono decoder is a brilliant idea! Like a real escape room, once the clock has started you cannot pause it, so get the drinks in and make sure everyone has been for a wee! For us the clues hit the right balance, some fairly easy and others fiendishly clever. Don't be put off if you've never done a real escape room, there's nothing in the way the clues are presented where having done one would be an advantsge. in fact it's a good way to see if you'd enjoy doing the real thing! Works out at ten quid for a good hour of enjoyable family entertainment. While the chrono decoder does look cheap , it works. I've seen other comments about the props being cardboard or flimsy. But each "room" is a play once game. Once you've completed it apart from the decoder, everything else is mostly redundant so there is little point pushing the price up with better made parts. I did notice that one of the expansion packs does use a part from one of the original games so don't throw anything away, in case other bits are needed in further releases. Beware some of the expansion packs in sale on Amazon are not the English version. Read the details carefully, it does mention if it's in another language.

Brilliant game to play with your family

I’m a big fan of escape rooms, both live and boxed sets, so I was excited to dive into this. While it’s a decent way to spend an evening, I found it a bit disappointing compared to others I’ve played. The Chrono Decoder is the main object, but the keys sometimes don't register properly unless they are perfectly aligned. A major frustration is that you have to insert the keys in the exact order (1 through 4) for the code to work—getting the right combination isn't enough, which feels more like a mechanical chore than a puzzle. Also, be prepared with 3 AA batteries because they aren't included, and you can’t play without them. On the plus side, the box says 3-5 players, but don’t let that stop you. You can easily play this with 2 people or even solo; in fact, it’s often easier to manage the clues with a smaller group. Overall, it’s an alright experience, but there are definitely more polished and better crafted escape room board games on the market. Pros - Solo/duo friendly: totally playable with 1-2 people despite the 3-5 player recommendation. - Variety: includes three different themes in one box. Cons - Technical issues: the keys don't always work correctly when inserted. - Rigid mechanics: you must insert keys in a specific sequence (1-4), which is frustrating. - Batteries: requires 3 AA batteries (not included) to even start the game.

Very quick delivery

This has been the best purchase we ever made - we have had amazing family time together working out these escapes. They are really clever and just difficult enough to really panic when it gets close to timing out after an hour. We didn't make it out of one of them on time but it didn't matter - we still raced to get it done and finally worked it out. So much thought and design has gone into these escapes. We immediately bought the Escape Games 2 and so far have sunk the titanic but planning to get it right for the next one. Thanks for keeping us entertained during this lockdown - please keep the escapes coming.

The Games themselves are depending on the given difficulty level fun and entertaining to play. Forget about the Chrono Decoder. Played two out of three games that were included, the thing worked exactly 0 times whenever we put in the code we found (we crosschecked with the walkthrough online and the codes were correct) and took one minute off the counter. So play the games -they are fun- and check your answers online instead of trusting the Chrono decoder. You don’t need it to verify your answers ;)

Este juego fue un regalo y, sinceramente, ¡ha sido un éxito rotundo! Lo regalé a unos amigos que adoran los retos y la verdad es que lo pasamos increíble. Desde el momento en que lo abrimos, todo el mundo quedó enganchado. Es una experiencia de escape room en casa, pero con una dinámica súper fácil de entender. No necesitas ser un experto en juegos de mesa ni tener un montón de piezas complicadas. Cada vez que resolvíamos una pista o logramos escapar de una de las pruebas, la emoción era enorme. No es solo que el juego sea divertido, sino que también fomenta la colaboración entre los jugadores, lo cual hizo que la experiencia fuera aún mejor. ¡Es uno de esos juegos que, cuando terminas, ya quieres volver a jugarlo! Este tipo de experiencias interactivas son geniales, y la verdad es que ha triunfado muchísimo entre los que lo probaron. Si buscas un regalo original y entretenido, te aseguro que no hay forma de que no guste. Fue un regalo acertadísimo, y lo mejor es que ahora todo el mundo está pidiendo una segunda parte.

In part 2 decoder did not work even though codes were correct. YES WE CHECKED FROM YOUR WEBPAGE. In part 3 answering machine phonenumber in briefcase is different from your webpage, which was the correct one. We have played dozens of escape/exit games at home and this was by far the worst one and the most expensive one. I would not recommend anyone to buy this game.
