We didn't purchase for a dog. Purchased for a rabbit and I highly recommend this product for rabbits. Rabbits love to dig and our rabbit loves this mat. We hide her food and snacks and she digs around finding everything.

it took about a minute to put things inside so the puppy would enjoy a seeking game. It took three seconds for him to pick up one end and shake all the bits out. I do not know how this got good reviews unless people are securing the mat to something to keep it from flopping up.

I have an almost 17 year old Cairn terrier. She is deaf and almost blind but still loves to eat. I can't feed her much because her activity level is so low. The snuffle mat is perfect for her. I can spread her food out among all the areas and it gives her something rewarding to do. The mat is very well made. I haven't had it long, but I anticipate it will last a long time.

My 12 lb Morkie still loves this after using it for about 6 months. He doesn't tear it up, but snuffles out every single kibble bit. I use it about 1x a week by tucking his daily dry kibble plus a few treats in it as a novelty for him. Very easy to use and it rolls up with some ties to keep it rolled during storage. I haven't washed it, just shake it out after use. Highly recommend.

The dogs love this mat! The puppy is a pro at it, but the two older dogs need some help figuring out how to get snacks/food from the “windmill” flaps and pockets. They can navigate the other side with no issues. It does take some time to load the treats/food into the windmill side, so you do need some patience. I feel like the puppy can locate and remove them much faster than I fill them up. I also have to keep an eye on her, because she’ll try to tear off the flaps/pockets or even pick up the whole mat to flip the treats/food out if it.

I was tasked to find something for my puppy to have quiet time when she was spayed - not an easy task when all the puppy wants is to be exuberant! This snuffle mat fits the bill! The first time I tried this snuffle, I put her whole serving of kibble in the mat, sprinkling it through and hiding it in other places throughout. My dog immediately started sniffing, finding and loving her mat. It took her a while, she was actually chewing her food, and this has been a hit ever since. I have put food in the snuffle and in her bowl, and she will leave her bowl to go "snuffle" - perfect size (and price point). Highly recommend!

I used it twice today, I chopped up a greenie and hid some pieces in the mat. My little shih-tzu enjoyed sniffing out the treats.. she eagerly stared at me, wanting more... so I scattered some apple pieces within the mat & she loved it!It's a fun quarantine activity, since we spend a lot of time inside.(I thought the mat was a little bigger than what it is. Thankfully my girl is pretty small)

The Snuffle Mat is amazing! I bought it for both my dogs and they spend a good time sniffing out for the treats I hid throughout the mat. At one point they were lifting it with their teeth to get the treat out but I was there to correct them not to do that. Supervision is needed. They had fun and I enjoyed watching them have fun.The material is soft. I love it. It’s not hard, the edges are soft and nothing is one the mat that it’s going to poke their eyes.
