Review from a 70+ years couple who are not computer savvy. I connected the extender to my smartphone and I did it step by step as indicated in the manual. The extender would not connect to the router. I went over the directions again and the light began to shine. I found the PrescitechX12_5G_EXT network on the phone and connected to it. The blue lights were all illuminated. We found a place half-way between the router and the smart TV. Still had 3 lights. One more step, connecting the TV to the extender. I went to settings and wireless and found the Prescitech network and connected it using the password for the router and not for the extender. Voila! a strong connection. We are very pleased and happy we purchased this extender!

I love this wifi extender! It definitely delivers the power, and is very easy to install. 3 options of how to use it, make it very easy for anyone to hook it up. The directions could use some improvement. I didn't change it to 4 stars because once you have it hooked up you want even think about that! I moved my whole desktop and printer downstairs to basement and signal was super weak. I couldn't load up any pages that had pictures without having to refresh 3 or 4 times! Very bad. Now, bam , the page comes right up. So glad I spent a little more to get this one!

The quick setup instructions does not conclude in a successful setup. But there is enough there that you can fill in the blanks (that which should have been stated). The killer was the fact that it would not recognize the password that I set up. I'm thinking that this unit was previously sold to another person and their unsuccessful setup left a password installed that a reset does not delete and was left in when resold to me. The 800 phone number for tech service is just an answering machine that does not even answer with the company name. Of course no return call. Go with a brand that you recognize. This one is a fail.

I needed a WiFi extender because the new ring stickup camera that I had just installed outside my front door wasn’t working. This WiFi extender was easy to install even for a non-tech savvy guy like me. The product came with an illustrative instructions sheet that was easy to understand and so it just took 5 to 8 minutes for me to install the thing. And guess what? Problem solved! After installing this WiFi extender, my ring camera began working! Moreover, by choosing this product over a similar but more expensive Netgear WiFi extender that I had initially chosen, I saved $30. I am a very happy and satisfied customer! I highly recommend this product if you want a product that works, that is easy to install and is less expensive than other more well known WiFi extenders.

Quick setup and works as expected, I did the manual setup with my iPhone.So I was hoping I could use the same SSID for this as my normal router and have it just switch to whichever was stronger like I have set up at work with our w-aps, but when I tried it I couldn’t get it to work well, in the end I did as the directions said and set it up as an extender and in this mode it works great. The “good” range is rather short, but even with my extender showing an amber light I get fast internet in my room where I had spotty WiFi at best before.Happy with this unit. May have to get another for the basement.

I installed the range extender as an access point and it worked very well, but after a month the 2.4G radio stopped working. After resetting and going through the setup process multiple times it still would not broadcast 2.4G. I contacted Amazon support via a chat session to see if I could get a refund or have it replaced. After a lengthy session during which the person I was chatting with (who was not familiar with the extender or Windows 10) attempted to talk me through fixing the problem I was given a phone number to call for further help. I called the number and found myself speaking with someone for whom English was not their first language. He also walked me through doing the same things I had already done with no success in fixing the problem. He finally told me that they would replace the extender and that I would receive an email with information concerning the process. The chat session and the phone call consumed 1 - 1/2 hours of my time and three days later I still have not seen the follow-up email.This whole situation has really surprised me because Amazon has always been excellent at resolving customer problems in the past.

It is funny that this device comes with a card to get you 30.00 on your next Amazon purchase if you leave a good review. I bet most of the good reviews of this item are because of that. Here is the truth. The instructions are garbage, written obviously by someone who does not speak or write English. I don't know why a company is so cheap that they cannot pay someone to translate a semi technical document in English-that was my first hint that this was a bad purchase. Not only are the instructions poorly written but the tech support line is an answering machine with no message on it and nobody calls you back. The QR code you can read for a video on set-up returns a page under construction message-there is no video. None of the instructions match what actually happens and the WPS set up just doesn't work. This thing might work well who knows, I sure as hell cannot figure out how to set it up. It also feels like 1.99 worth of cheap plastic.

I installed 2 of these in my workplace, which is a lab in a big metal building. Due to all the metal and machines, we get a lot of interferance with our WiFi. I was able to get these set up and working in less than a half hour, and they worked perfectly.
