Definity Digital VGRO 38 WFL 120 13-watt PAR 38 LED Flood Light Bulb, Bright White

I bought this light for a Chinese Elm Bonsai that I wanted to keep indoors. Since this is more of a display plant than for produce, I wasn't interested in the red or purple lights. There isn't a ton of spread on this bulb but there isn't on any PAR38's. Its been on my tree for a few weeks now and its growing like crazy. Really happy. It does have a slight red color but the plants do require some so that's to be expected.

I love the spectrum on this bulb. It has extra red and blue for plants, but it still has enough green in it that it doesn't look completely strange outside of a greenhouse. Unlike the pure red/blue bulbs, you can actually see the plant it's lighting.There's really only one very strange thing about the design keeping me from rating this five stars: the large heatsink fins are plastic! To be fair, it feels like they might be some kind of thermally conductive plastic, but for the price, I'd much rather have a real, metal heatsink and a smaller bulb.

Good product.It seems to be good for my kales.

I used to use daylight compact fluorescent bulbs, which were quite offensive to the eye. I bought four of these. My living room has turned into a much more hospitable place. The lights provide a warmer light with a slight pinkish hue to the white...quite nice. Provides the great, much needed light for the plants. I have a ton of new growth and flowering.I highly recommend these. I do wish they had a version with a wider spread of light. Love them.

The light appears white to the human eye, yet is sufficient to keep my aquatic plants healthy and green. It produces minimal heat. I bought a second one to winter my tropical water lily indoors.
