Very accurate and great piece of kit!
After researching online and looking for a smart blood pressure monitor that would sync with my phone I came across the Withings BPM connect. Having already owned 2 Withings products (body+ smart scales and sleep tracking mat) I was confident that this blood pressure monitor would be of high quality. It has positive reviews on almost all websites where it is sold so I was surprised to see so many negative reviews on Amazon. Having had this Withings BPM connect for a few days now, I can honestly confirm it’s a great piece of kit and reasonably priced, especially when purchased on Prime Day! The instructions are provided are clear and straightforward. You just need to download the Withings healthcare app first and follow the instructions. It paired immediately and there were no problems setting it up. The only thing the instructions didn’t make clear is that you have to press the button on the blood pressure monitor immediately after the reading to assign it to the user so it will automatically sync immediately to the health mate app. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. I have used it several times a day for the past few days and find it to be very accurate. For those who are leaving negative reviews, I can only assume they have not read the instructions properly or are inadvertently applying the blood pressure cuff incorrectly. Firstly you should ideally take your blood pressure on your left arm (as it is closer to your heart and gives a more accurate reading). You also need to ensure that the cuff fits correctly around your upper arm (not over clothing, it should be used on your bare arm). Lastly the white Withings monitor should be placed on the inside of your upper arm, directly next to your heart. Keep still and keep your arm at waist height if sitting down. You should then get an accurate reading. For anyone who is thinking of purchasing the Withings BPM connect but are worried about the negative reviews, I can personally attest to the accuracy of this device. It is also endorsed by the British Hypertension society.

Expensive, But Worth Every Penny – Accurate & Easy to Use
Yes, the Withings BPM Connect is on the pricey side, but after using it for months, I can confidently say it’s worth the investment—especially if you need to monitor your blood pressure regularly. This device helped me get diagnosed with high blood pressure and allowed me to track my progress with treatment. Seamless Connectivity & Tracking One of the biggest advantages is how effortlessly it syncs with the Withings app (which I was already using for my Withings smart scales). It also exports data automatically into Apple Health, making it easy to monitor my overall health in one place. When I speak to my doctor, I just pull up the app and show my monthly average—no more manually writing down readings! Accuracy & Comfort I’d read concerns about accuracy, and even my doctor was skeptical at first. But after testing it against multiple other blood pressure monitors, including a professional one at my GP’s office, I found the results to be consistently precise. The cuff itself is comfortable, though for larger arms, it can feel quite tight for a few seconds during inflation. Pros: ✅ Extremely easy to use – Just wrap, press, and get instant results. ✅ Syncs perfectly with Apple Health & Withings app – Automatic tracking. ✅ Multiple user memory slots – My whole family uses it for individual tracking. ✅ Highly accurate – Matched results with professional monitors. ✅ Fast charging, long battery life – A single charge lasts months. ✅ No more manual logging – Just open the app and view your history. Cons: ❌ Premium price – Expensive, but you’re paying for convenience and accuracy. ❌ Can feel tight on larger arms – Inflation is quick, but it can be uncomfortable for a moment. Final Thoughts: If you need a reliable, accurate, and easy-to-use blood pressure monitor, the Withings BPM Connect is an excellent choice. It’s smart, seamless, and removes the hassle of manual tracking—making health monitoring simple and stress-free. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you take your blood pressure seriously, this is worth the investment.

Inaccurate Readings
I'm a long-time user of Withing's products, I've got a set of scales from back when they were owned by Nokia so at least 5 years now and it's been a solid eco system, but this product fails on so many counts. Accuracy: Dangerously off, I recently had suspected high blood pressure and was asked by my nurse to buy a blood pressure monitor and take a reading 3x a day for a week in order for her to give me a formal diagnosis because of white coat syndrome. I picked the Withings BPM Connect as I already have some other Withings products. When I tried it for the first time I honestly thought I should go to A&E as it was consistently in Grade 3 Hypertension zone. But I knew the nurse had seen me that week so if there was anything dangerously high, she wouldn't have let me go so I continued with the testing. When it was time for my review after a week with the nurse, I took it with me and tested against her Omron unit and what do you know, after doing 3 tests each on both devices, the Omron always came in much lower (15-20 points) than the Withings BPM Connect. At one point while I was in the Nurses' office my Sys even reported being over 200 which was way off my actual stats. Comfort: The unit gets uncomfortably tight when you're using it, I measured my arms before purchasing it to ensure it would fit properly and I was nowhere near the maximum but whenever I used it, the device felt like it was completely crushing my arm and one time it errored and kept inflating so I had to rip it off my arm as I felt it going numb. Portability: It's slim, but it has some issues here too. When everything is going to USB-C, it's frustrating that this is a MicroUSB device, small gripe but worse still is that if you want to take it with you somewhere, you'll need to pay an extra £30 for a case because this doesn't come with one. Competitors provide you with a case although it's not amazing quality, it doesn't really need to be. All in all, I'd say stick to the brand your Nurse or Doctor recommends, in my case it was Omron. The unit I bought has Bluetooth capabilities so I could get it to sync with Samsung Health and with an App I downloaded from the google play store called "Health Sync" I can even automatically export the data to a .csv before my review with my Nurse and email it over to her before hand. Thankfully I bought the Withings from Amazon so the return was swift and easy.

Works Fine, but Requires the App
If you only ever want to use it with the app, this is a great blood pressure monitor. However, as the results are only displayed very briefly on completion of the measurement, and only one at a time, you have to be very quick if you need to make a manual note of the results. Personally, having tried a combined BPM for the first time, I find that the separate sleeves are easier to fit than the combined sleeve & monitor of this one, particularly if you are on your own. The added weight of the monitor makes the fitting of the sleeve all the more fidgety. Good battery life, and on first glance decent manufacturing quality. So far, the BPM has lost connection with the app once, requiring a complete reinstall. Hopefully it will remain a one-off.

Great quality device
This is more of a health monitoring system rather than just a single device that tells you one thing. It comes with a cell phone app that does all of the Bluetooth/WIFI connecting for you, finds out who you are and sets up a free Healthcare account for you. It collects some other brief details, like your height and weight and that's it! Setup was an absolute doddle! Everything connected first time. No errors. From that point onwards, whenever you blood pressure is taken, those details are immediately uploaded by the device to your phone app, and you can see what your latest reading was. You can see that on the device too, if you have not got your phone handy, via the clear, dot matrix screen. I like that a lot. Not only that, once it uploads (which is immediate if your phone is in range) it keeps a permanent history so that you can see trends over time. And you can link that same app with other devices that you can get like watches that count your daily steps. It all gets fed into the same software. The app is called Health Mate and it also calculates your BMI, records your heart rate, fat mass, records your workouts, nutrition (logging what you eat), daily steps, health insights, trends (based on real measurements over time). And you can share your results with friends or even your doctor. Now that is a great idea! Worried about your readings? Just share them with your health professional. You can buy watches, and "fit-bit" style devices, wi-fi weighing scales, and hi-tech thermometers. Most will update and record data into the same app. Really interesting and useful stuff. The app looks great too. They have obviously thought about it carefully and produced a really professional looking and easy-to-use app. I always think you can tell the quality of a device by its packaging. The packaging of this device is not quite up to Apple/iPhone standards, but it really isn't far off! Very high quality and worth keeping. My device came almost fully charged (85%) (so you can use it immediately) and it took less than 10 minutes to top it up. In use, it is very powerful and squeezes you arm very tightly - at least as much as the automated devices that your own GP uses. That is very impressive for a comparatively tiny device. I also chose the hard shell case (pictured, which is extra. but worth it, in my opinion). I'm also going to buy a watch. I am really happy I chose this over the CCC options (Cheap, Cheerful & Chinese). Yes! I know it is more expensive but it is much higher quality and you get soooo much more, plus it all just works and it is in English! Bravo! Highly recommended.

A great smart BPM system
I had been researching on a good BPM system for my mum to replace her current cheap unknown brand system that required charging every 2 days. There was nothing smart about it as she had to write down her readings. What I wanted for her was a longer lasting battery and a well known brand for accuracy and reliability because she will be using it everyday. Most systems I have found online are AA battery operated (not ideal) until I came across Withings via Youtube and Amazon. Not only it provided a chargeable port with up to 6 month long battery, I was a bit blown away by the incorporation of a smart technology that can be paired with a phone. After the initial setup, this device can take readings and automatically recorded in the Withings' Health Mate app and also Apple's Health app. So my mum will never have to write anything down. After the blood pressure reading, it would display the readings with a colour code from green, amber to red for severity of the blood pressure reading. I would say it's very accurate as I had tested it on myself several times with all normal readings, but a little high for my mum, which is expected given her condition. The Health Mate app also has an option to email the readings from selected date range to your GP practice. The only minor thing I would say that they could improve in their next iteration is to display all three SYS, DIA and pulse together at the same time on the screen. Currently it displays the three readings individually one after another. But one can simply visit the app on the phone to check the last reading. I think you can also check the last reading on the device itself, but I haven't figured it out as there is literally only one button on the device. There is support for multiuser, but I never have to use it, so can't really comment on this feature. It's a little on the expensive side, but my mum will be making good use of it. At the time of purchase, it was on discount on both Amazon and Withings website. Now it seems it's back to full price on Amazon, but you can get it cheaper directly from Withings at the time of this review.

Saved my Nans life - ERROR 205
ERROR 205 Thats the error you dont want to consistently get, but for my Nan that was exactly what she got 4 times, one after the other. After almost collapsing only not to from being caught by myself and unable to coordinate her hands to pick something up right in front of her, we was worried. After checker her heart rate with an Apple Watch we noted she had a low heart rate but it wasnt the answer. Next I used this, something I'd purchased to keep track of my own biometrics, being a fan of tithings products it was all I expected, simple, easy to use, brilliant integration with their app etc. After using it we got an Error 205, I thought maybe it was a misreading as after looking into it this means the reading was out of range I believe from 40-180, I'm glad the actual reading wasnt displayed as I feel this could have made things worse. After receiving it 3 more times however then checking it on myself and getting a reading no problem, it was time to call 111. After which was was to go to hospital where they confirmed her blood pressure was 230/80 and she was in a critical situation with risk of stroke / heart attack. Immediately she was into the Resus ward, with every test imaginable. After medication it was then lowered and now she's to be on it for the foreseeable future. However if I didnt have this, if we wasnt there to see the symptoms also, it would have likely ended in stoke or heart attack. Cant put a price on this stuff ladies and gents, yes this is a snazzy one but why not, its ease of use and integration into the app means no remembering these vital figures and less resistance when thinking of taking a reading. I'm so glad I purchased this. Thank you Withings.
