As far as I know it's wood that's been painted black, I think it's nicely made and well worth the cost. Hope this has helped.

As the picture clearly shows, there are 3 compartments. The 2 outer compartments are about 4 inches wide, the middle one is about 3 inches wide. Depth is just over 1 inch.

Q: Are the compartments removable, so i am able to put sunglasses in?
