Fit well.
Fits very well on my 5 month old kitten. She is absolutely fine with it on. No fuss of getting it off her. I would recommend a bigger size for an older cat. It only really just fits her. If she was any bigger than it will be to small for her. I bought a size medium.

Kitten not comfortable
I’ve got mixed feelings about the recovery vest concept. We bought it as recommended by our vet as an alternative to an Elizabethan collar - this brought my hopes up. However, my kitten didn’t feel comfortable wearing it and was never able to get used to walk with it (though I appreciate that to allow for full recovery, reducing their mobility must play a role?)I found it difficult to guess size - I bought an M for a 2 kg kitten. The holes for the back legs were too big and she kept getting her legs stuck, so she struggled to walk and even had to drag her lower body on the first day - this would have suggested the size was too big? However the “neck” area was a bit too low and actually covered her front legs joints - this suggests the size was small?! This was after realising I had been putting it the other way around, but the same sort of size issues happened anyway. She did make a mess in the litter tray when it was the other way around, but this was my fault not the product’s.She figured out how to get rid of it on day 2 (as soon as the anesthetic effects ended I guess) and on day 7 when we finally decided she didn’t need to wear it anymore she was incredibly happy. To conclude, if your vet recommends it then follow their advice - but be aware that your kitten may be a bit gloomy while wearing it!

Does the job
Got my kitten fixed and they didn't have any cones so I ordered this instead.I ordered a M as previous reviews said to not order a s and it's super small and she's between 5-6 months now. The back fits perfectly but the front is a bit loose so once in a while after she's rolled around in her hammock her arm pops out but not hard to put back in.If you cat over grooms then this is the best solution as she still grooms just over the PJ's and once a day we take her out to check the stitches and she can groom herself while being watched then put back in.I will say my other half who wasn't a cat person is now a full on cat dad who is now talking about getting her more clothes...I've explained this is not clothing it's surgical wear haha.

Wouldn't recommend
I ordered a medium for my cat at 8 months old and it was lovely soft fabric and smart design as the buttons are easily accessible and it allowed my crazy fur baby the freedom to get around easily in comparison to the cone collars. However five days after my cat was spayed she figured out that she could get her front legs out of the holes and then fully escape out the wide shoulders. I all fairness maybe i got a size too big but the suit seemed to fit perfect at the start, i believe the fabric just became stretched. But the vet had said that fabric body suits aren't great as the cats can still try and lick the wound leaving the fabric wet and could cause the wound to "sweat". Lucky this fabric sticks to the cats tongue so she didn't seem particularly interested in licking to much so the wound remained dry and healed well, and also lucky she had only figured out how to escape the suit once her wound was fairly well healed. Overall i would say in this instance it done the job and i do think the suits are a better alternative to cone collars for crazy kittens, however if i were to do this again i would probably go for some sort of waterproof suit that come up past the cats shoulders (if there is one).

comfortable and effective
We bought this after our cat was spayed and managed to open the wound. The vet stapled the wound and provided a buster collar but the collar was way too big and thus totally useless (not to mention very stressful for the cat). We ordered this vest as an alternative means of stopping her over-grooming the wound. It arrived early (which was brilliant), it fits perfectly (3 kg cat - we ordered medium), completely covering the wound, and it is far less stressful and far more comfortable than the buster collar. I would absolutely recommend this as a kinder and more effective way of protecting a healing wound than a buster collar.

Very easy to put on and comfortable
I wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but turned out really well. My cat was spayed and because she’s female, the incision is on the left side of the abdomen so perfectly covered by the suit. Really happy since she likes the suit wayyy more than the cone and the suit is soft made of cotton. My cat is wearing an M that fits really well. I got a second suit so I can change it every couple of days. Would recommend

A great little suit which has made her life (and ours) infinitely easier
The suit was perfect for our kitten's spay. This was a necessary avoid the 'cone of shame' purchase as there was no way she was going to put up with that. Our girl is just shy of 6 months and weighs 2.5kg. I found the measurements tricky as she was 13inches from shoulder to base of tail but only 9 inches around the chest. So was far too long for the small and a bit long for the medium but too small in circumference for the small. Went for medium in the end and although it was a little baggy on her the length was good. The material was very soft, I was initially worried as she'd had a flank spay it might irritate the wound because of location but this was not a problem at all.We tried her out in it for a couple of evenings before her operation (first photo, she was not amused!) - cue theatrics, throwing herself sideways and a lot of moonwalking but after a couple of hours each night she settled into it. She managed a bit of escapology from it the first night but then it stayed on for a week. She was always more subdued whilst wearing it and less prone to launching herself vertically up every available surface (which was actually a real positive for her recovery) but was not frustrated or stressed. She could eat, drink and use her litter tray with no issues whatsoever. After a week it had stretched a bit and she worked her way out of it via the neck a couple of times. However this was easily solved by sewing the neck hole slightly smaller and giving her a stealthy shark fin in the process.
