I bought them for my husband. They're softer than I thought and they look nice. We both love them.

These things suck. Pull a pan out of the oven and it will burn your hand almost immediately. They don't block the heat at all. Look elsewhere.

Excellent mitts and outstanding customer service! MGE Chef sent an email before the mitts arrived to offer some tips on their use. I've used the mitts for handling in-the-house hot pans, and outdoors for handling hot grilling utensils. They performed perfectly in both situations. The grip is exceptional; better than any other mitt I've tried. I have large hands and the fit was perfect: loose but not sloppy.

do not expect these to be usable for high heat for long (cookie sheet 350). Before you've gotten half the food off the sheet the heat has made it through and it is uncomfortable. The cloth mitts they replaced (unfortunately) did a much better job. I'll be replacing these asap. They do clean up easily and the seller is outstanding. Very pleased with the seller, but these mitts suck.
